Looks like it comes with a balanced cable as well. Nice move on Philips part. I can’t wait for some X3 impressions!

It doesn't, it's just a normal 3.5mm cable with a 6.3mm adaptor.

3.5mm to each cup, and 2.5mm balanced termination.

They don't mention two cables anywhere in the specs though and you even have this on their site:

"Authentic sound from any source
Immerse in your favorite albums—however you like to listen. The included cable boasts a 6.3–3.5 mm jack adapter, so you can listen on your smart device as well as your home setup."

The product page been up for months. My theory is that it will have 2 versions, one with balanced cable and one with err... What is the word I am looking for? :D

Single ended

All the promo pictures for the Klipsch HP-3 showed them with an XLR balanced cable. Yet, they never came with one, nor was said cable ever up for sale on the Klipsch site.

So that outer layer isn’t speaker fabric huh? Ain’t they usually pretty thin and stretchy?

Well yeah, pretty sure it is going to be double entry 3.5mm for the headphones themself (If you can believe the pictures). There was some wording that made me think it will have 2 versions available, difference being the source end.

Also not sure what kinda material you guys are thinking of, but you should probably google "Kvadrat fabric". How strong it is depends on how thin or packed it is.

The weight is listed the same as X2, so either it is surprisingly heavy for replacing metal to cloth, or the product page is still just a placeholder.

Oh thanks, I had no idea a balanced cable was different from the double ended 3.5mm

I've been looking for an upgrade for my X2's especially since it lacks a balanced option and it's awesome to see that the X3's can utilize a balance cable! I have a question though and I hope someone here would be able to answer. Considering the X3's will likely only come with a 2.5mm balanced cable, what kind of high quality cables would I fit the X3's that can be terminated in 4.4mm pentacon?
