Philips Fidelio X3

It fell off the back of a virtual truck...
Hmm, when I was on the way to work, I saw a parcel laying somewhere near a corn field.

I know--that's a pair of unicorn X3s (which don't yet exist) delivered either by:
  • Amazon's XL drones (which also don't yet exist) or
  • UFOs (which clearly do exist in proximity to any spooky corn field)

Like the guys that used to sell “high end speakers“ out of the back of the white van.

The first pair of speakers I ever owned was sourced exactly this way. "Psst...wanna pair of speakers?"

They were terrible, but plenty good enough to launch me on a 40+ year odyssey of audio madness.

I later sold them to my future-ex-brother-in-law...and look where that got him.

Strangely enough that corn field is named Smollvillage and they have a lot of farmers there. Wanted to knock on their door to ask them if I could take the parcel with me but they scared the #@$ out of me yelling at me to #@% off. It's like they think I'm from the gov... I regret not taking that parcel to my home. damn

Have had my OG pair since November 2014 and absolutely worship them for what they bring. I’m not an early adopter generally, but based on my X2, I am buying the X3 as soon as it’s available in the US.

The cloth is going to be an issue will get tatty and fray etc otherwise great
Be sure to buy spare pads right away if you buy them as they vanish from sale pretty quick

I just bought one. Imaging is amazing but midrange is quite muffled.
Thanks for making me laugh. Now I can't shake off the image of a singer singing thru a face mask.

that actually have a high chance to happen in real life in the future . Everyone has been making face masks these days, comfortable ones, fashionable ones, one that's transparent from making any change to your sound gonna come out sooner or later :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Philips is trying to improve this kind-of-look:

What can I say? I own a lot of Philips products, like antennas and a shaver still being used more than my newer Braun. :)
