Philips Fidelio X2?!

  Gently but firmly bending the headband into opposite directions improves clamping force. (Moving the two speakers next to each other, side by side.) Repeat it a few times for more effect. I think, it would reduce the wobbliness you are talking about. It did to me. Since I did this bending, X2 feels steadier and even more comfy.

With the risk of sounding daft... I don't understand, but if i can do anything to make these fit more snuggly, then im all for it. Please elaborate.

Could not find a proper video or pictures, but I was trying to explain a similar movement you can see here:

Obviously a bit more careful with the X2s, cause they are not as flexible as the headphone in the video, but X2s headband can be tightened similar way.

Picked my X2's up today. To early to say anything about the sound, but i might end up returning them for a different reason... I don't exactly have a tiny head, but yet these things refuse to get a good grip on my head, and keeps wobbling about as i turn my head. And i'm not exactly running around, i'm stationary in front of my PC. It might just be that it takes some getting use to, but first impression is that these wobble around to much.

I had a similar problem.. changed the pads to hm5 cleared this up (and sounds better too)

So simply bending the top of the headband slightly so that the headphones get closer together... Well, yeah, that makes sense. Going to hold off on doing that until i have decided if its a return or not. (If the only issue is as it sits now, the lose fit, then i'll be doing it, and keeping them.)

Thanks.

I like the pads on the X2. It might be a "down the line" upgrade / mod, but for now, if i'm keeping them, which i feel like i will, i'll be using them as originals. Like any good headphones there is a number of mods that can be made, i'm sure.

if you really want to put your X2's through their paces and show off their true prowess i recommend tracking down a copy of this recording of Charles Dutoit and the Montreal Symphony Orchestra performing Ravel's Bolero along with three other selections {cat # Decca 410 010 -2}

and even if  (like me) you're not particularly a big fan of classical music, there is a certain 'je nais se quoi' to the performance and production quality of this particular recording that has to be heard to be truly appreciated. in a nutshell, make sure you're wearing  a helmet cause your mind is about to be blown!

Just got these. Phenomenal right out of the box. Looking forward to listening to them. While I know they are not technically flat they certainly have the emphasis at the right frequencies (sending back a pair of Sennheisers).

Definetly keeping them.

So does anyone have a case they recommend? Anyone have this Duragadget case and can vouch for it?

One of the two reviews said that this case is too small for the X2`s.

that case looks more like it's designed for something like the L2's ,though a quick google search turned this up and on the first page just glancing i've already found a couple reviews stating that this case is perfect for the X1 and X2 either one so long as the cable is detached http://www.amazon.com/CASEBUDi-Headphone-Case-Extra-Large/dp/B00BF6IKL4

edit: also seems to be confirmed by this -> post #1355

Has anyone received a part that DOESN'T have the aluminum bezel issue on the left cup?
Got mine yesterday and can (sadly) confirm that the issue persists...

edit: okay had too look it up online, by the bezel issue i presume you mean the aluminum peeling as in this reddit post?

fortunately i don't seem to have that issue (and hope i won't) , though i purchased mine here used from a seller who bought them new from amazon in dec 2014

sorry to hear yours have this,i hope you can return them and have better luck,and definitely mention that specific issue to the vendor and ask them to check for it before sending you a replacement pair (if possible).

or possibly you can remove the left hand side cushion and try applying very small dabs of superglue on the track where the aluminum band should be secured -
or on the bottom side of the aluminum band itself . just make sure to apply very small drops so when placing pressure on the aluminum band while realigning it won't cause the glue to leak over the side onto the headphones themselves.

an even better solution would be to apply it with a small brush (some super glue comes with a brush applicator included attached to inside of the cap you unscrew) such as this ->https://www.officesupply.com/search?q=Loctite+Brush+On+Super+Glue+
or this -> http://www.amazon.com/Scotch-Liquid-Brush--Ounces-AD127/dp/B007XAADXY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1446454132&sr=8-1
