Philips Fidelio X2?!

Has anyone's jaw line slightly hurt from this? Pressure? I don't know the cause but I'm gonna stretch it for an hour or so.
I just got it today, sounds amazing. I feel as if the huge pads are causing pressure over my jawline  because of how big it is lol. Will report later.

Yes, the X2 is a bit more clampy than the X1.  I too noticed that my jaw line initially got a little sore from the clamp.  Jaw doesn't hurt anymore since the X2 seems to have stretched out on its own with regular use (or my jaw got stronger).

I stretched it out the first day, and haven't had any issues since. The headband is pretty idiot proof.

Quick question: when you first got the X2s,you said you preferred the Akg K7012 overall. Has your opinion changed any?

Great work on this thread, btw. Super helpful!

I think you must be a madman to prefer K702 over X2. :)

how bad is the leakage on these things?  in comparison to a grado for example?

I tested it in a cafe that wasn't noisy, and my friend said he couldn't hear any leakage at all. So I guess the leakage is quite minimal.

+1

Leakage is minimal. Lesser than all of my previous open backed HP's.

But don't attempt to compare it to a close back HP.

Thanks for the link. Interesting to read they had no issues with the treble. I wished they compared it with the L2 as they said that was technically the better headphone. From the 2 published reviews so far, I think Philips have tuned the X2 similarly to the HD600 and perhaps better.

I think Headfonia review is disappointing. It's been a long time (2 months?) since they got the HP, I was expecting a more thorough and detailed review. It's like your standard user review on Head-Fi. Maybe I'm expecting too much from people who are just hobbyists and not journalists.

I have zero issuies with the X2 treble. Other than it being a tad grainy at times.

Reading the Headfonia review... I have to say... the review is absolutely spot on. Like... PINPOINT ACCURATE representation of my own impression on the X2.
