They are severly discounted today (Jan 13th) so those that might be wanting to get them but were iffy on price might like this.

The A5 Proi -notice the "i" at the end- has 2 cables. The 2nd cable is a 4 foot apple control cable, still kind of stiff but much less so than the regular cable.

I am now used to A5-pro E12DIY amplifier (source - Х5mm v.2). In combination with the OPA627 + BUF634 relatively E12 sound wider and bigger, deeper, smoother texture of the musical fabric.

At first I thought the A5pro was a little dark, but the more I listen I think that it is more the backdrop background of it, similar to the Focal Spirit Pro. I think thats what helps this headphone with the imaging and soundstage.

Also I think there is an emphasis somewhere in the low to mid treble, sometimes it can have a strong SSSs note, but nowhere as much as say the sennheiser amperior.

I like this cable for mine the best, its braided and very flexible, so it hangs loosely:

Please note that the jack structure should allow entry to the end in the headphone jack. Before cable Н.А.С. I bought an inexpensive shorter cable (1 meter), and so went 1 of 3 copies. 2 copies of the required additional design processing, to have a good contact without breaks during use.

does anybody know where to find ear cushions online? and apple cable too if possible?

They do have the 80 mm and 93 mm (stock) cushions for sale on the Armada Music Shop. That's where I got the 110 mm cushions (PCU110), though they don't seem to be available there any longer, sadly.

The official microphone cable (PHC120) is equally unavailable from there. You can, however, use another mic cable, such as the countless Beats knock-offs you can find on Ebay. The PHC120 cable is sold in certain shops here in Scandinavia, so you can try searching your local/national shops, too.

It really is a shame that the A5 Pro isn't supported better with its accessories. I wish it were popular enough to get knock-off cushions, but as it stands, it seems to be fading into obscurity. Thanks, Philips.

  Hi,

Does anybody here have experience with the A5 pro and the Sennheiser HD650? Because I have the A5 pro and they are a well worthy and great replacement of my MDR-V700 but, I would like to try something with open back. That's why I'm curious how the HD650 compare to A5 pro to electronic music, especially if the Sennheiser can handle the lows as good as A5 pro, without destroying the mids and highs. Thanks in advance for answers.

I have the same question. Does anybody knows how the a5 compares to the hd600 or hd650? Thanks!
