After about ten hours burn-in, I am very happy with this little amp. I opted for the standard G3 over the T7 as I am used to a more analytical sound. Does it sound as good as an earmax? Dunno. Is it worth a hundred fifty bucks? Hell yes. The build quality and features are surprisingly good. Stock tubes sound very nice indeed. So far I agree with other reviews. It's best with natural musics; Classical, acoustic, etc. It still sounds great with more processed/electronic musics but has an unfamiliar frequency response for those sorts. I like it, others may not. It also has a very low level of noise.
I'm letting some Phillips/Mullard PCC88 tubes burn in overnight and will compare the difference.
My setup: Computer (.flac) -> EMU404USB DAC -> G3 Phenix -> ATH-A700
