Oh I know how to use fraps.

What settings do you prefer?

Force AA through the Nvidia Control Panel or Cataylst Control Centre?

That will sometimes give SERIOUS fps drops where you force settings. Its a huge problem with noobs online when people set their settings to a forced one(both Amd and nvidia have options for it) and thus lead to massive fps problems.

I don't know how many of you are following CD Projekt, but here's the teaser trailer for their next game, Cyberpunk. 1080p is a must. I wouldn't be surprised if it looked as good as the trailer after what they pulled off with RED engine and Witcher 2.

Projekt CD for those that don't know made the award winning game series

The Witcher.

They do not have a DRM system on their games and have had great deals and prices and promo's on their games. The Witcher has also been a present the Polish leadership has gifted to the U.S as it is one of its largest social icons in the last few years for Poland's entertainment industry and their global projection. Because honestly, name another well known major Polish thing in the entertainment industry. Especially gaming.

Gonna watch the video now\

Edit: That was a well made video. The girl is hot :) I didn't really notice much SteamPunk in it. Dishonoured's style is more steampunk than that. Plus, you would think that in over half a century from now, that the use of bullets and their design would be signifigantly different.

She was hot though. Dig the underwear and what not :)

Comming: When it's ready

Awesome line.

It didn't specify if it was in real time. Doesn't look like it was osmething rendered using in game engine of a beta game or something. Not at all.

Projekt CD Red used DX9 exclusively for the witcher and have achieved some VERY spectacular results with it besides that it didn't support the most easily seen DX11 features, the Tesselation, displacement maping, and parallax occlusion.

I just did full resolution at 30FPS. The newest version of Fraps compresses the video as it records it, so eating up absurd amounts of space isn't really a problem. Those videos I posted both ended up being around 1GB, which isn't bad compared to uncompressed!

Also, on that Cyperpunk trailer: Looks pretty neat, but jeez, that music is horrible. Why can't people who make game trailers figure out the secret to not picking terrible music?

I think it's based on the old tabletop game called Cyberpunk 2020.

Hows this? Mute the original video.

I thought it was decent music but didn't fit too too well.

Hmm I seee

Just played through a bit of Spec Ops the Line.

Don't have much of the story yet but I can see why some say it is a new very revolutionary game. Many games made by developers from other countries more or less feature American troops. All of it do. However, the U.S's rise to global power from the 50's and on and their policies pre 2000's were highly un-noted by many of the world's people and America's own. You don't become number 1 no matter how awesome you are without smashing a few heads.

Background info:
The CIA with the power of the Federal Government have been some of the worst and most infamous opponents to natural democracy in the last 60 years.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Covert_United_States_foreign_regime_change_actions

Many of the governments listed democratically voted for their leaders(be it a democratic or autocratic one).

The most famous government overthrows or institutions of pro U.S people are:
Vietnam
China
South Korea
Iran
Syria
Chile
Cuba
Iraq
Afghanastan.

So what is my opinion on it? Nothing really. I've spent a year of thinking about this and how it affects the gaming society and everything and came to a conclusion that if my country was doing this. I would be dam proud. But it none the less still pisses me off when normal people don't know this. So we get to Spec Ops the line. And it shows us a reality of a modern force using Cold War habits. It is unknown what is happening covert today so we will say that this game is a great re production of cold war CIA overthrows in a post modern era. We have the CIA being bad and using people to get the opinion of the public. We have U.S troops massacred (on camera?) to induce public opinion in the west. And etc. These are not done today (i'm almost certain) as the viewer is more in tuned but it is a great re production of the cold war era.

I think that Spec Ops hilariously terrible Gameplay can be slightly overlooked with it's focus on world issues where a game can go and say that it wishes to show case some of the actions that befell American troops during the Cold War. Where sometimes, the army must do the terrible as an order and all that.

Now. the gameplay sucks so I have since stopped my play. But the thought is good.

EA Origin store had a sale today. I bought Crysis 1. I wanted to support Crytek (even though not all profit goes to them) and replay.

So crap goes after crap. The game gives me an error after downloading and installing that I need to have EA download manager and sign in to it to verify my game. Only problem is that origin replaced that. I am logged in to origin. And BOOM. Error. I can't do it.
So I try the other executable. BOOM. I need a disk in the tray.

So EA f'd up with old support.

And I need a disk

So what is my next option. Secur-rom. This uses secure rom and so it seems.

And EA tells me that an update came out for crysis 1 with it

And so i click the link and guess what. The link has been removed and they have a new program that will auto detect and what not

I get the program and go through the steps.

Guess what. Secure rom servers are not responding and do not work. Not me. Pining them doesn't work.

So now I can't update secure rom so i can play the game and origin's own activation has failed me.

Support for their game is only through email which will take 2 days.

.Ok,  now another problem. My email linked with my EA is gone. I need to update it. But I can't do it myself. NOWHERE, on their page lets me.

I contact support. and have to wait 40 minutes to get to my turn.

And now. I have barely just gotten my email changed 4 hours later and two full 11GB game redownloads later after my first one's cache got corrupted(so i couldn't re use the setup)

Update:
Got it fixed now. 15% coupon and a working game. Whatever

Not sure how I managed this...

Also, more screenshots, because I really do think this game looks fantastic.

Kirosia built his GTX 670/I5 OC rig. The Define R4/Asrock Z77 combo are not very user-friendly when it comes to assembly, could not mount all the required screws. Took me two days to finish, but hey at least Far Cry 3, Sleeping Dogs, and the Witcher 2 seems to work fine at high settings. Black Ops 2 doesn't start.

I hate having to "run as administrator" for certain programs, since I'm already on the admin account. And Win7 browser fond just doesn't look right, even after playing with smoothing/cleartype etc.

Yeah, I read about the built-in Admin account, I'm just too deep in to start a new one.

Pretty well, considering i nearly botched installing the CPU cooler (Hyper 212 Evo's instructions = absolutely mindfuddling). Luckily I added an insane amount of thermal paste, the CPU temps are inline of what one would expect with a conservatively OC'd core i5 (4.2ghz, changed in the bios). I had to reseat the RAM as well, the PC initially didn't have video output, causing me to slightly cosmetically irritate my GPU,  when it turned out to not be the actual problem. GPU's fan also bled my index finger (couldn't visually confirm the GPU was working, so I reached under...)

My last PC had a dead motherboard after the first two weeks, so I've no idea how long this one will fare.

I've bought the 212 Evo twice. Both instals were fine. Instructions suck and require implying.

Too much and side spilling can cause problems. If it spills out or get on the contacts on the bottom that is.

I got cut MANY times with heat fins as well.
