If you get a tube amp, half the fun is getting very neurotic about tube rolling options. I spent several months playing round with various rectifiers before one just felt right but heck, I thought audiophilia was partly about the sound and partly about the tinkering.Do the majority of people tube roll vs sticking with stock? I could drive myself crazy with all the options!

You roll based on how you like the sound. Most people don't roll and get an amp that doesn't need fancy tubes to sound great. If you have the money, WA33 Elite + JPS is A MUST for Susvara. The stock WA33 doesn't cut it as a true upgrade from the OOR+Hypsos IMHO.
sure, why not add another neurosis to my existing listIf you get a tube amp, half the fun is getting very neurotic about tube rolling options. I think tubes are for people who already have a feel for how individual components affect the over sound of their headphones. That's when the desire to chase the dragon with tubes and tube rolling comes
What is JPS?...... Have you heard the WA23 luna as well? Sounds like that is more tubey, while the 33 sits in-between the luna and solid state.. If I can't go wrong with WA maybe I just pick one of those two.You roll based on how you like the sound. Most people don't roll and get an amp that doesn't need fancy tubes to sound great. I agree partially. I also think there is a certain "analog" appeal which appeals to some. The same way the "kids" (from my 50+ year old perspective) are re-embracing vinyl.I think tubes are for people who already have a feel for how individual components affect the over sound of their headphones. JPS is the upgraded wiring assembly inside the WA33. WA23 does not enough juice to power the Susvara to party time levels. It'll work greatly for 85-90 dB listening but not when I want to watch Blu-Ray at IMAX SPL levels for example where you feel that subterranean rumbling of Hans Zimmer tracks

85-90 is my max. Given that, would you prefer the 33 or 23?JPS is the upgraded wiring assembly inside the WA33. WA23 does not enough juice to power the Susvara to party time levels. WA23 over stock 33 anyday. No need to upgrade the 2A3 tubes to an exotic ones. The WA23 is already that good!
Thanks! Getting comfortably close to pulling the trigger on it.WA23 over stock 33 anyday. No need to upgrade the 2A3 tubes to an exotic ones. The WA23 is already that good!
Make sure to run the Susvara on the Hi impedance mode with the WA23. It gives better drive to Susvara on high impedance output
