I think Ulan 8w should pair well with OG. I’m enjoying Eletech SoA with Ti tremendously
Interesting! Was looking at Orphy for the Ti but love Eletech and SoA would be very very interesting to me. How does it change the sound?

I’ll give Chiron a try as well and report back. Borrowed Orpheus is arriving today!
Any opinions on 8w vs 4w for the Ulan? I'd prefer a cable that is flexible. Had anyone had a chance to compare both?
I can imagine that 8w would have, say, more open soundstage, maybe more bass. Any other considerations I should take into account?
At the moment I'm inclined to get the 4w.

The 8w is extremely flexible and soft. Never an issue.

I decided to go with the original bird, courtesy of @Amadeo Nospherathu.😃

Thank you to everyone who helped me scour the internet for the TI.

Now to hunt for the cable.😅

I'm also interested in the ULAN if you don't mind.
It comes with PW1960’s and is great with it. There was also an offering with PW First Times. My favorite is PW Orpheus with it, though that is very expensive. Any of these 3 work very well with it.

Unfortunately, mine doesn't have the stock 1960, as I bought them already without it. In the end, I don't think it's a good or bad cable - it makes the Bird look a bit generalized. After comparing the 1960 with the FT, I had no desire to listen to them with the 1960, haha.

Remember prefering 1960 by far to FT. FT while having slightly better extended highs and lows, it took away a big chunk of the analog laid back mids magic that made Trailli so special for me in the first place.

Like Amadeo said, unfortunately, mine will not come with stock cable.
I heard that Meet Agains shielding is like a mini Orphy so can't wait to test if it will work well with the bird or not.

I recently ordered the Sovereign Symphony (Nightjar) to go with the Trailii JP.

Waiting for it to arrive.

Ironically ; with the current exchange rate the cable cost me pretty much the same as the bird once upon a time.

And that is me done. Until the next purchase :p
Wow excited to hear your opinion on this combo!

The Trailli 1960s is an special version, comparing the normal un-shield 1960s, it would not dim the high & treble that much and polish the mid with the slowly touch. Quite like a limiter for OG for its all rounder potential but a must for its full juicy mid-taste(cost is on worse mid-bass and mid separation than ordinary 1960s).
I would not recommend normal 1960s over other similar price range popular cables on Trailli because the whole 1960s series actually eats up quite a lot overtone in tremble and mid-bass to me, just to make way to sounding clean lol. The bird could have flied more lively :)

I believe Orpheus is shielded only.
I see two different versions for sale in the Classifieds.

This one, that has "Shielding Version" on the metal case with different shielding on the cable below the splitter.

And this one, without "Shielding Version" and with different cable wrapping below the splitter.

Seems like 2 different versions?

Yes there is an orpheus shielding which has the thick black sheathing below the y split, then there is the non-shielding which is blue throughout. Most people own the shielding version of it, but both versions do exist.

I stand corrected! I had never seen the non shielded version before. Interesting!
