Hi,
 
Looking for a word of advice. I might have the chance to buy a used pair of HD600's, X-Can V2 plus dedicated DIY 'powersource' for a good price. I've read on the net that it's supposed to be a nice combo.
But, I am really mostly interested in and curious about the headphones for quite some time now. The question I ask myself (and you) is if my old Marantz PM80-MK2 would drive the Sennheiser properly making the amp+power unneccessary to buy? Or, get all that gear?

True, easy enough. On the other hand I could be hassle free if I'd know what the Marantz can deliver. At what specification do I look to make sure the Sennheiser can be driven well enough?
 
Edit: found another fine deal on supposedly mint(!) HD600's so won't be getting the X-Can/PSU. I will soon hear the results myself but if anyone has an answer to above question please let me know.
