Ok, for someone who is specs+number audiophile geeks....here is the link for the review. Basically summed up

1/ better than Ak380 in balanced mode
2/ better dynamic range
3/ better THD
4/ better noises

And *** we are comparing it to AK380 which is 3800$. Enjoy...it seems that I may just buy it ...just because

^ Thanks for posting those measurements again. While I appreciate the service the tester provided, the commentary was of zero use. Don't even mention things like I wouldn't listen to it because of the UI. Completely useless information considering the post was about measurements, not about the testers  very narrow viewpoint on what makes a good DAP. I myself am very concerned with usability, but to have that type of bias, and so vehement is hard to fathom. Still, the work to do the testing was very well done, and appreciated, so not to be an ingrate.

Does anyone know if i can buy balanced cables for the Stagediver SD-3?

Cheers!

You can ask PETEREK who is a member here to make you a balanced cable. He has made one for my PM3 and the Onkyo.

The more I listen to DP-X1 the more I love it. This DAP is a real details monster. Image, dimension and soundstage of DP-X1 make me speechless. Even with SE the Onkyo is big step up from all DAP I have owned. Can't wait to try balanced out ASAP!

What software can be use to create playlists outside the player? It doesn't look like the Onkyo X DAP Link offers that functionality (I don't even use this to transfer music to the player) Somebody mentioned using some Sony program to transfer music, can we create playlists using this Sony program?
So far creating playlists is very difficult within the player and I can't find a way to be able to create playlists with songs that are in the player by using foobar or any other software.

Still no update on folder browsing. For someone who moved from zx2, this is really frustrating. How do you guys manage this ?

Go buy "jet Audio player" or "Gonemad" player, both support Folder searching and both sounds great on Zx2

I have Gonemad but i won't bother using third-party apps. They are not compatible with the DAC on the unit plus they will be using CPU instead
