No no no, you misunderstood my reply.. i didn't take offense.. :) I only mean to say, that software update might not come, so something as warning to buyer... because cmx1 is designed as dap first, smartphone second...

My apology if i sound i get offended =.=

no worries, bluelavender.

Please can I get some guidance on where to buy the Granbeat from?
I am in UK and on EE and O2.
Currently using S7e (dual sim G9350).
Thanks.

Amazon Japan has them and they will ship to Mexico so probably to the UK as well. I’m still debating on this but in my case I lose LTE as it doesn’t have my carriers band. There are a few sites around where you can check the Granbeats compatibilty with your carrier.

4 months with my Granbeat and I am extremely happy,
It has pretty much everything I need from a phone and the Sound quality is the one of very decent DAP.
I got the original carbon cover which looks stunning!
Next step for Onkyo IMO should be be to reduce size, not to improve the smartphone hardware.

so, onkyo not shown granbeat successor in ifa? :frowning2:

[if someone would wonder what a upgrade i need in already exelent product:
-14/10nm soc
-android8 (ldac)
-slightly more battery
-slightly more ram
-bluethooth 5
[del] -nfc (ok. for this smartwatch can be used) [/del]
-lanyard hole (!)
-ip68 (!)
-more lte band]

Next step for Onkyo IMO should be be to reduce size, not to improve the smartphone hardware.
but it's exactly smartphone hardware upgrade that can slightly decrease size :p

ps: personally i would not be bothered by thickness about 1.5cm with 5000mah battery :)

Hongkong version has more LTE band compared to Japan version.

Unfortunately the Hong Kong model doesn't offer the LTE band used in Mexico either so I'm out of luck. Hopefully they'll offer another version although they've told em they probably won't.

Hello,

I recently hear interferences while listening music on the Granbeat, caused by the mobile radio.
Does anyone have similar problems and is this normal?

Regards,

VonBoedfeld
Sorry what do you mean by mobile radio?
Anyhow, no interference for me whatsoever!
