I got soundrhyme sr8 which is really sensitive (5 ohms and 119db). Was wondering if the Onix Alpha XI1 would cause noise/hiss in balanced & low gain for sensitive iems? @Shanling

bought it right after watching Andy's video. can't wait for it to arrive. currently using RU7 which sounds good but the delay after stopped playing music/video for a while is frustrating (when paired with PC, didn't notice the problem since I tested it with a phone in a store).

On it's way to me from HifiGo. Shout out to Andy for reviewing it so quickly. I'd get a DDhifi usb-c cable for it. The standard usb-c cable isn't shielded an suffers a lot from RF-interference, causing disconnects. Probably depending on what phone you are using as well.

As someone who already owns a KA17 and a Go Bar, I'm not sure I need yet another dongle DAC, but it's hard to resist at this price. I'll wait for a few more reviews, but I'll likely be ordering this soon. I'd like to try and find the definitive dongle and it would be useful to compare it to the similarly-priced KA17.

This might not only be the dongle of the year but the product of the year. Comparing a dongle to desktop DAC’s like the Geshelli J2 with AKM/Sparkos and Topping a90d is incredibly impressive. Thank you for touching on the Eddict Player features and internal components.

Technical wise its around the same level. KA17 is cold and analytical compared to Alpha. Based on some friends impressions.

Need more reviews before pulling the trigger. Better if it comes with lightning cable but it doesn’t.

We sell Lightning cables separately, Shanling L3.

Us and ONIX do not plan to add Lightning cables into the box, especially as modern Apple devices abandoned it.

Whats the noise floor like on this? I’m asking as on my Go Blu with SE my SE846’s have some hiss, on Balanced it’s completely unreasonable. The output Z on this looks good so hoping the noise floor really low… any experience?

i ordered it on aliexpress that gives me tha chance to return it, i also am waiting to btr7, i tried in the past a lot of dongle, the one that i preferred the most is the colorfly cdm1 but i bought one from hifigo and had some noise and scratches sith any usb cable, hifigo sent me another thats has an hiss on the left side and you have to slam it on the table to make it stop...absurd... hifigo fortunately gave me the money back.. but. ...when it works is nice, i expect a lot from onix even if the mids on the colorfly were so delicious. is the second time i order the btr7 the first time i hear it only one minute before send it back, now i want to play longer with its peq.
