Looks like power issue. But my friend tried my onix + ve sie using his iphone 15 with no problem.
It does the same thing when I use a separate power bank so not sure what I could do to fix it.

Seems like it’s now turning the screen off as soon as I touch the play button (not even if I press it - just tapping it will turn the screen off)
Please contact your seller for replacement unit.

Can you also tell us from which seller did you purchase it and which firmware version was it running?

Now they released upgrade cable for Onix...
Onix OL1
https://hifigo.com/products/onix-alpha-ol1
Had to return mine because it got way too hot...
-Is this cable supposed to solve any of the devise compatibility issues ? (I suspect not, but would be nice to hear from @Shanling about what issues this cable might resolve.
- Seeing a few folks having problems with the display, and other things. Sound was Ok for the few minutes I was able to listen to it before it started overheating.

So am unsure if the hardware is reliable enough to order one again...
- Can't tell what percentage are working perfectly, and what percentage are experiencing some sort of early failure.

Did anyone say we need to buy a new cable? I read that one is available, but not that it is required, but maybe I missed something?
That's a good question.
I guess it depends on what you are connecting to...
If you're using an Apple device... it should be ok w a standard USB-C cable.
YMMV and there are some known incompatible devices.

I would imagine that the better the USB-C cable, the better the connection.

Ok...
So you say its overheating.
Can you share your configuration?

What phone/source?
What are you driving? Headphones / IEMs? which ones?

Where did you buy?

Thx
