You can check your firmware version in Eddict player. Under USB-control in the menu.
I plugged it to my iPhone and opened Eddict Player, but I see nowherer USB-control in the menu

Sorry.. but this is not acceptable for a company. This usb mess is just not acceptable in my opinion. Shanling should take care of that issue and not let the users contact with sellers so as to find out what to do. Should be quality control before any release as the reviewers may have issues

How can I know the version of my firmware. What have you fixed with the new version? if it is only the possibility to use the dongle with older phones, then I don't need it. Sending back the dongle to china will cost me a lot

Original release had issues with Hi-Res and DSD playback with certain filter settings.

It was discovered very early on, first Chinese market units were recalled and all units shipped to ONIX official international sellers already came with firmware V1.0.3 installed.

I plugged it to my iPhone and opened Eddict Player, but I see nowherer USB-control in the menu

USB Control is not available on iOS, it's on Android only.

To view firmware version:
Connect XI1 in UAC1.0 mode (Hold down play button while inserting cable).
Go to setting menu and go to the last item 9/9
There you can see your firmware version.

You may have missed where @Shanling stated the devices with the incorrect firmware were recalled before release to be updated by the factory. If, and this is purely speculation, non-official channels received devices and shipped those without the devices going back to the factory, that would not be Shanling’s doing…

If instead you are referring to a different problem with the USB port, again Shanling is not doing anything unusual. It is common practice for manufacturers to request that customers work through the dealer they purchased a device through. That’s part of what dealers do with the markup that they charge for a device above what they purchased it for from the manufacturer. For customers this is sometimes very convenient (if the dealer is in their town or city), or very inconvenient if the seller is in a different country.

This was also related to the USB controller? Could you tell us which filter settings were problematic so I can test whether my Unit is problematic or not?

Also is HiFiGo not an official reseller? It is a well known website for Hifi gear from China and it is getting better reviews than Hifi-Express or Linsoul.

Don't remember all the details, but in essence: When using balanced output, Hi-Res files (most notable on 96kHz) and filters other than F2, there was distortion and also lowered volume level.

It was software issue on the filter and USB implementation.

Linsoul is our only official international dealer among these Chinese dealers. We do not work directly with Hifigo on ONIX.
