Don't know. AutomagicallyHow did you update firmware?
I think it may have been delivered with different firmwares. I may have had 1.00.02By the way, I downloaded the Eddict player a few minutes ago. As soon as I plugged the Onix into it, it immediately displayed this version number. I don't think the firmware update would have happened in 1 second. The sound didn't change either. The bass is as soft and weightless as so far![]()
LoLDon't know. Automagically
I believe mine got a firmware update yesterday. Suddenly it identified in UAPP as firmware updater by Company this or that. I don't remember I thought it was some freak notification, but after that the gain in uapp was much higher. I had to increase to 80 for decent sound level before and now it was good at 45. It also sounded more musical and dynamic. In Eddict player it now says it is on firmware 1.00.03
Edit: Yup it was updated. Now it connects to my LG G6, where it would not before. Probably the Eddict player app is used for updating firmware. Can @Shanling confirm that?
Which Apple cable are you using, my OE usbc to lightning cable that came with the phone doesn't work.

Actually, the 4.4 port on ZX300 is a Pentaconn socket, a few dongles have this socket are LP W2/W4, Lotoo PAW S2, ... From my experience, the 4.4mm Pentaconn socket is more reliable, and compatible with different 4.4 plugs. You can use a flashlight to see the "pins" inside the socket, the Pentaconn sockets have 2 symmetrical rows of "ball pins", the other sockets (not Pentaconn) usually have only 1 pin for each signal (R+, R-, etc) and they are "randomly" placed inside the socket.Has anybody had issues with the 4.4 connection? i'm asking because i have issues with one TRN cable, if i push it all the way in i get no sound on one side (if i push it back a little bit i get proper sound). Doesn't happen with other 4.4 cables i have, but weirdly enough that same TRN cable works perfectly on my zx300 (so i know it's working properly)![]()
It wasn't UAPP. I know what that looks like. I suspect some devices may have been delivered with an older version of the firmware. Got mine from HiFiGo.No, there was no firmware update for XI1.
This seems to be some update on the side of UAPP, not ONIX device.
I read somewhere that ONIX had to pause shipment and release a new firmware before continuing production even before the units were officially on sale.... Maybe this isn't just a rumour? It wasn't UAPP. I know what that looks like. I suspect some devices may have been delivered with an older version of the firmware. Got mine from HiFiGo.
I was kinda guessing it was small variations in dimensions, but never had that happen before haha, thanks for confirming my suspicionsActually, the 4.4 port on ZX300 is a Pentaconn socket, a few dongles have this socket are LP W2/W4, Lotoo PAW S2, ... So, in your case, it is not a socket or plug problem, they are just slightly different in dimensions, so you need to lightly adjust your plug to match with the Onix (it does not use Pentaconn socket)
That would explain my theory. Some must have been shipped out with the wrong/old firmwareI read somewhere that ONIX had to pause shipment and release a new firmware before continuing production even before the units were officially on sale.... Maybe this isn't just a rumour?
Firmware V1.0.2 was completely recalled and all of XI1 production units were shipped with firmware V1.0.3.I read somewhere that ONIX had to pause shipment and release a new firmware before continuing production even before the units were officially on sale.... Maybe this isn't just a rumour?

We recommend Shanling L3 cable for use with iOS Lightning. Your standard cables you get with phone do not work with USB DACs on iOS.
Cant you just release the v1.0.3 firmware? Warranty shipment to china is costly and need long time.Firmware V1.0.2 was completely recalled and all of XI1 production units were shipped with firmware V1.0.3.
If your unit was somehow shipped with firmware V1.0.2, please contact your Chinese seller for a replacement unit under warranty.
Alongside firmware V1.0.3, units also had to receive update on the USB controller, which can be done only in Factory.Cant you just release the v1.0.3 firmware? Warranty shipment to china is costly and need long time.

How can I know the version of my firmware. What have you fixed with the new version? if it is only the possibility to use the dongle with older phones, then I don't need it. Sending back the dongle to china will cost me a lotAlongside firmware V1.0.3, units also had to receive update on the USB controller, which can be done only in Factory.
That's why these units had to be recalled instead of just a simple firmware update.
