I have a thing for matching components, so I would like to get a new (non-portable) CD player from a company that also makes a good headphone amp.
Is Creek the only candidate, or are there others?

While not same make I feel that my player and amp really go well together (looks even better when seen directly from the front, nice smiley face)

Consider Rega.  I haven't heard the Rega Ear, but they do make a headphone amp.

I do like their old Planet, but they have a few good CD players.  Plus you can add a matching DAC, tuner, integrated amp, and even a turntable!

Rega makes some nice speakers, even.

If I had to do it over, I might go Rega top-to-bottom, but keep the ProAc clones.  I think Rega offers a lot of value for the money and their gear is reliable.

You might want to consider Naim, too.  They make a headphone amp.

Possibly even NAD.  They don't have a dedicated headphone amp, but you can use one of their nice receivers as a headphone amp.
