Inspired by the traditional Chinese musical instrument, "waist drum", FiiO's design team created a "drum" type bass cavity for the flat-head earbuds FF3. This cavity was specially designed to fully harness and utilize resonances to more effectively bring out the texture of bass notes. Meanwhile, the team made full use of the internal space of the FF3's housing to fit a bass-enhancing acoustic tube within. Therefore, the FF3 has an effective frequency range down to 42.5Hz for truly deep earbud bass under normal open wearing.

A large driver means a lot. The #Dynamic Driver Earbuds FF3# uses a large 14.2mm dynamic driver for more energy releasing when playing back music, allowing for a more clean and natural sound. Good sound not only comes from the size of the driver, but also from the materials it is made of. After many tests by the FiiO R&D team, a beryllium-plated dome + PU gasket dynamic driver was chosen for the FF3. I think its a very clever way to market a softly lossy algorithm. But it sounds fine. And Tidal does have some exclusive hi res ('master") releases, at least in Jazz Fusion.

I don't stream at all and even though I get FLAC whenever possible, I'm totally fine with lossy like AAC (if it's 320)

What I don't like are greedy companies that try to rip off people with false claims.

Disrespecting the trust and loyalty of customers is something that grinds my gears.

My issue with MQA is they tried to pass themselves off as losless at some point in time, even having it in their logo. They only changed their tune when they got caught and called out for it, now they claim "they are better than losless"...

Shady things like that is a huge turn off for me, no matter how revolutionary your product may be.

By low to midrange I think FiiO was implying and have subsequently stopped making the M9, M7, M6, M5, M3 etc.

Indeed. Dongles have pretty much taken that space.

Yeah, I recently purchased what is likely to be my last DAP player. Its all dongles from here. Though I bet that market stratifies and there will be a small high end of units with lots of power and big batteries.

Hello everyone. Welcome to our launch event. We will introduce 4 products for you here. Now let's come to the first one.

1. The FiiO BTR5 released in 2019 has still stood at the top among the same product category in terms of sales volume and reputation. It was its superior market performance and user recognition that kept urging us during the R&D process of the #THX Portable Bluetooth Amplifier BTR7#. In terms of the ID and physical designs and manufacturing, the R&D team never stopped chasing the best. Two years of development for one product. The BTR7 is born to be a super Bluetooth DAC/Amp.

The brand-new BTR7 features the seventh-generation mecha design language, giving it riveting looks. Its comfort-and-ergonomics optimized laminated aluminum alloy body is paired with a 1.3-inch IPS color display that is the showpiece of the BTR7. The colorful, rich and comfortable UI presents important information more intuitively, making it more convenient to use.

2. The BTR7 is designed with a complete audio architecture of DAC+low-pass filter+amplifier that can even rival HiFi players to capture every last detail and dynamics. The two ESS ES9219C DACs help to effectively lower channel crosstalk and improve separation; the THX AAA amplifiers form a fully balanced audio design. Compared with direct output of DAC, the output power of single end is improved nearly twice and balanced more than 30%.

The Qualcomm QCC5124 Bluetooth chip with great stability is equipped, which provides support for high-res formats like LDAC/aptX HD/aptX Adaptive. To make the Bluetooth transmission more stable, the BTR7 uses FiiO’s own patented seamless metal frame antenna design. The XMOS XUF208 handles USB decoding with up to 384K/32Bit support.

The BTR7 is the first Bluetooth DAC/Amp that supports wireless charging while compatible with the Qi protocol, easy for daily charging. Included is a large 880mA, allowing 9 hours of continuous music playback. There are other characteristics, 3.5mm+4.4mm outputs, one-click dongle mode, app control and OTA upgrade supports.

(1) USB1.0 driverless: The BTR7 supports USB1.0 driverless mode, which is compatible with more devices;
(2) In-vehicle mode: It will automatically turn on and off with your car once the in-vehicle mode is enabled;

(4) Custom function buttons: Within the companion app, you can customize what the buttons do to exactly meet your needs.
