I'm not much into jazz, but I recently picked up 2 XRCD's of Hiroko Kokubu and man is the sound quality exceptional, especially on the XRCD24 album, New York Uncovered. I very much like this style of music.

If you are into guitar, you might try checking out a guy called Mike Stern (speaking of Miles). Berklee guy. Outstanding playing with a rock edge. Super-fun. Super-good.
