Sorry, can't do that. My cable is terminated with RCA on the other end ...

How's your DAC going?

Well, it should be finished anyday now, I m awaiting the total price with shipping from Nova. I told him to take his time since I did not have all the money yet.
I just checked rmaa, I did not realise it was a free software, I can test myself

although i m kinda busy with exams.
Those "excellent" grades also make me feel better about the dac hehe.
I ll be sure to post impressions when I receive the DAC.

Too bad, 1212m is the best one I have and certainly I'm not going to get more expensive one just to measure the DAC. Or perhaps, one of you willing to lend me one? :p

Nonetheless, I'm very happy with the DAC.

Problem is ... I don't really know what the results mean. All I know is that the Excellent marks make me happy.

Could someone chime in and give me more explaination on the graph?

Impressive measurements. Hard to get better than that.

Yes he can order 115V transformers, also he can build you an I2S to usb converter for 1200NTD (a taiwanese kit, not of his making). That s not very expensive for USB capability.

You can get a completed unit (like mine) from him.

Can the kits be purchased from him as well?

How much US$ is 1200NTD??

So you are going to use an outboard USB-to-I2S converter, which has the D-sub I2S connector to hook up to the D-sub I2S connector on the DAC1794?

Yes, I m going to use I2S this way,
For currency conversion, use www.xe.com.
I m not sure about the quality of the usb-I2S converter, could be a synchronous design. However I m thinking about buying the converter from the DDDAC which is supposed to be of higher quality.
I romage through my old thing to find a COM cable because I have to make the cable myself.

As JJ15K said, you can order the kit from Novas.

Just another extra bits that I forgot to add previously is that the transformer for digital supplies 8 groups for different parts/ICs:
----> 1st group: +5V for OSC
----> 2nd group: +5V for CS8414
----> 3rd group: +3.3V for SRC4192
----> 4th group: +3.3V for PCM1794
----> 5th group: +3.3V for PCM1794
----> 6th group: +3.3V for DF1706
----> 7th group: +5V for Re-Data
----> 8th group: +5V for line and the switch part
