Looks nice!!

Shame I've just bought a 22" Samsung TFT or else I'd be tempted to give it a go.

Yes it does look nice. The styling of the front plate is reminiscent of the RSA amps. Did the seller say when it will be up for sale?

OT: Is your Samsung TFT able to tilt? I have since avoided Samsung TFTs like the plague due to mine not being able to tilt. I had to get a higher chair. Ridiculous I say.

It's a Samsung Synchmaster 226BW

22" Widescreen
2ms
1000:1
etc..

It tilts up at quite an angle, but doesn't tilt down much.... There's also no height adjustment.

Apart from that, it's awesome!

2 available on ebay... Hey Skylab\Mrarroyo, care to purchase and evaluate??

Hardly a knockoff...

" 5534×2, OPA2227P×1, BUF634P×3
potentiometer:NOBLE
capacitance:panasonic FC
Battery:LEXEL 850mah×10 "

should keep pace with better amps... at least on paper.

Haha, I was being sarcastic because of it's aesthetics... Performance and paper stats can sometimes be two different things! I would be interested in hearing any info from our adventerous early adopters!!

$250 puts it in a pretty competitive bracket. Much of the appeal of these chinese amps is there decent sound for little money. That seems to occur less as you climb the price scale.

Judging by the level of interest in this thread I guess there's a really poor chance of us getting any reviews or sonic impressions.

Which is a pity... It must sound really good for the makers of this amp to want to charge US$250.

Hmm, the op-amp description is a bit confusing to me. There are four channels' worth of outputs but only 3 buffers. I wonder why they aren't buffering all four channels, even if one of those is being used to split the supply.

The only way to find out is to get one and open it up! I wonder if we can convince the maker to lend one to an esteemed Head-Fier to review.

It shows on ebay for $250 + $25 shipping.

At that price point, the Portaphile LT1210 Maxxed is an excellent value, and only $4.05 shipping — tho' it doesn't have the cute thick milled aluminum face plate.

Does the Storm's "4 channel design" bear any similarity to Xin's designs?

I never cared for 2227, but can't tell how this — or anything — sounds without hearing it. Maybe someone will buy one and bring it to HeadFest? ("burned in", of course…)
