My FW 3.0.4 Beta report:
 
1. Scanning media library for the first time in my 1 TB. Kingston HyperX pendrive, tooks about 40 minutes and only scans 600 songs aprox. FW 2.0 tooks 5 minutes to scan more than 8.000 songs.
 
2. Scanning media library for the second time in my 1 TB. Kingston HyperX pendrive, tooks about 1 hour and only scans 3.000 songs aprox. FW 2.0 tooks 5 minutes to scan more than 8.000 songs.
 
3. Scanning media library for the third time in my 1 TB. Kingston HyperX pendrive, tooks about 1 hour and only scans about 6.500 songs aprox. FW 2.0 tooks 5 minutes to scan more than 8.000 songs.
 
4. Some DSD64 files with no DST encoding, reproduces but no sound output.
 
5. Swiftkey keyboard or any other different keyboard than the Android default not work on Pure Music Mode.
 
6. Imposible to see long names and dark gray subtitles, some icons and others texts dificult to read:


 
7. Changing the default icons orders on Fiio music main screen, return to default order when exits Fiio Music or restart the device. This also occurs in FW 2.0:

 
8. Allow multiple genres, artists tag separated by semicolon.
 
9. Interesting to see the number of track when searching by albums or artists.
 
Returning to FW 2.0 again.

I'm beginning to believe the problem with the media scanning is not the number of files but the size of the sd card.  It will scan all songs on my 128 GB card with no problems.  My 200 GB card is a different story.  Doesn't matter how many songs I load on it media scan never scans all of them.
 
When I use my bluetooth aptx supported headphones there is no aptx icon in the status bar.  So who knows if this function is even working.

For me if we can get the media scanning working on larger capacity storage FW3 is definitely 100% better than FW2.0.  @JamesFiiO getting closer.  Thanks!

- Hi Res music now sampling at the correct rate except for WMA  hi res files which crash FiiO Music player
- Scanning for tracks slow and does not find all tracks
- Search in FiiO music not working correctly
- Amazon Music still not able to stream tracks nor save tracks to external SD card
- Unable to connect Blue Tooth, device pairs but is unable to establish a connection
 
None of these issues exist in FW 2.0, reverting back now

What bluetooth device?  I have a Trinity Lanyard and it connects just fine.  It doesn't show the aptx symbol in the status bar but connects.

A bug that still exists in 3.04 relates to playing an album from the album list:
Using the Fiio music application, if I navigate to an album via local music; artist; tap icon to view list of albums by artist and then press the play button to the right of an album name, the songs in the album play in alphabetic order of the track names instead of in track number order. To play an album in the correct track order, I have to tap the album to view the tracks within it (which are listed in track number order) and then tap the first track to play it and the subsequent tracks.
My music is stored as 1 flac file per track stored in a directory structure of music/artist/album/tracknum track title.flac

1. YouTube videos don't play, sound does but video freezes. Don't know if this is fixable or not?
2. Unable to use album artwork grabbing apps as it says they don't support lollipop, again I don't know if anything can be done about this?
3. No gapless playback, this is a big deal to me.
4. After having the fiio x7 on for awhile the sound will only come though one side and will require a restart.
5. Viper4android is still a no go.

Indeed. And if you open the album and start playing using track order as you referred and then reboot with Resume ON, it resumes at same track but on that A-Z order.
By other words, you can't listen to an whole album (as if you were playing the CD) if you have to reboot at middle

Re number 2.  If you download a free program named "Album Art Downloader" it will search numerous music sites such as Amazon and Deezer and loads of others.  You just click on the art which you require and drag
into your album folder and it creates a file named folder.jpg.  Beware of .png files as they will not work
 
Rescan your music in the X7 and the album art should show up (almost) every time.
 
The above applies to Windows.  I don't know how it works with a Mac.

The X7 would not connect via BT at all in v3.04. I have reverted to v2.0 and the BT connection works fine. I will try v3.04 again later to check the issue again. However my main use for BT is to stream from Amazon Music to my main audio system, I have reported that Amazon Music will not stream in each of the v3.xx betas but you have not acknowledged this issue. Can this be fixed please.
