By any chance did you use a hair dryer/heat gun to soften the adhesive beforehand?

Just curious.
No. I didn't want to run the risk of something softening up in the driver.

It’s not difficult to get the adhesive off, just a little time consuming. Rubbing alcohol and about ten minutes per pad did it for me.

10 minutes! when I heard difficult to remove I anticipated 2 or 3 hours of elbow greasing .

Psh, naw. All in all it probably took me 30-45 minutes to complete this "mod." I will say, it's probably faster if you use a cloth and rubbing alcohol. I tried makeup removal pads and paper towels... just left flecks of paper and cotton on them. Could probably do it all in under 15 minutes the second time around.

Well, I have 45 minutes to spare this weekend. I will be coming after everyone with pitchfork and kerosene if the mod messes up the solid tuning .

Have anyone tried Dekoni elite hybrid or fenestrated sheepskin on it? I want to change the stock pads but couldn't decide which one to get.

I have the Fenestrated Sheepskin. I removed the old pads and Sennheiser insert. Huge improvement in comfort and noticed a boost in the mids and treble as well.

Thanks. how's the bass? did the new pads kill it? That's my only concern with the fenestrated sheepskin..

I've realized with these I crank them up quite a bit, even on my bedtime sessions, to really hear the vocals and the low end.
