No. I didn't want to run the risk of something softening up in the driver.By any chance did you use a hair dryer/heat gun to soften the adhesive beforehand?
Just curious.

OK. I'll amend my statement to exclude those companies known for QC issues!Laughs in HiFiMan.
It’s not difficult to get the adhesive off, just a little time consuming. Rubbing alcohol and about ten minutes per pad did it for me.
10 minutes! when I heard difficult to remove I anticipated 2 or 3 hours of elbow greasing .

Psh, naw. All in all it probably took me 30-45 minutes to complete this "mod." I will say, it's probably faster if you use a cloth and rubbing alcohol. I tried makeup removal pads and paper towels... just left flecks of paper and cotton on them. Could probably do it all in under 15 minutes the second time around.10 minutes! when I heard difficult to remove I anticipated 2 or 3 hours of elbow greasing .
Well, I have 45 minutes to spare this weekend. I will be coming after everyone with pitchfork and kerosene if the mod messes up the solid tuning .

I don't know, it just seemed easier to adjust it with EQ, and the measurements didn't show a difference. I wouldn't touch modding them IMO

If you feel the tuning is already "solid", why take the chance of screwing it up?????Well, I have 45 minutes to spare this weekend. I will be coming after everyone with pitchfork and kerosene if the mod messes up the solid tuning .

My laughing face shows it was all humor.
Have anyone tried Dekoni elite hybrid or fenestrated sheepskin on it? I want to change the stock pads but couldn't decide which one to get.

I have the Fenestrated Sheepskin. I removed the old pads and Sennheiser insert. Huge improvement in comfort and noticed a boost in the mids and treble as well.Have anyone tried Dekoni elite hybrid or fenestrated sheepskin on it? I want to change the stock pads but couldn't decide which one to get.
Thanks. how's the bass? did the new pads kill it? That's my only concern with the fenestrated sheepskin..I have the Fenestrated Sheepskin. I removed the old pads and Sennheiser insert. Huge improvement in comfort and noticed a boost in the mids and treble as well.

Has anyone compared the sticker mod with removing 2 stickers vs all three stickers? Does the bass change at all?

I've realized with these I crank them up quite a bit, even on my bedtime sessions, to really hear the vocals and the low end.
