just jumping in to report that in balanced mode and high gain output, Hifiman Susvara can be driven well, even on battery.
Even higher output on AC. (though I like the music more on battery power)

“The sound of a harpsichord – two skeletons copulating on a tin roof in a thunderstorm. ” (Sir Thomas Beecham)

If Bach had access to a piano; he would never have used the harpsichord! What a horrible contraption!!! Try the Glenn Gould or Angela Hewitt piano versions; so much easier on the ears!

That phrase deacribes more the sound of a drum set

Your presumtion of what instrument 'Bach would never have used' is no less absurd than suggesting that had he access to a synthesizer with 48 pole digital filter modulation and a wavetable convolution matrix resampling engine, he would never have used something as arcane as a piano.... ohh what a plebian contrivance !!

Try Wintergaten for goodness sakes, much easier on the lower intestines.

Mind your balls on the way out...

I am so fed up with Sony !

They told me, after chasing up yet again, that Sony Central Repair, should receive the replacement part for my player, at the end of last week. ( I sent the chasing e mail a week ago - they have just replied. )

Further delays & chasing update internally. They have told me for at least 3 weeks now, that the part is in mainland Europe. I’ve asked them to explain what this actually means & as of yet, no explanation ?

I think they’re kicking this into the long grass & hope I give up !

They said the part was expected in April, but immediately said in the next e mail to expect further delays. I hadn’t heard anything, so messaged back in April, to very promptly having a reply, saying it was in mainland Europe. Was I just told this, because I contacted. The response was too immediate & all of a sudden it’s in mainland Europe ! ( God knows, what it’s doing there & what actually needs to be done to it ! ?? )
