I'm planning on bringing some reference material I'm familiar with to test out gear . . . what would be the best format to bring music in?

FLAC files on a USB drive?
FLAC files on a data CD?
FLAC files made into a music CD?

Any thoughts / better solutions? Thanks!

Looney Tunes is an awesome spot for record store day, Definitely take a cab over there or hitch a ride with someone if you can.

I'd say USB

I'd like to make a last minute plea...

If anyone attending has a Koss ESP/950 could you please bring it?  I believe everything else I'm hoping to hear will be in attendance but that.

Thanx!

So I was wondering what people would suggest I put on the SD and microSD cards I am bringing to the meet up to test out the DAP's? If no one answers I'm just gonna bring my cards with my every day music to test out the devices for myself

Any owners of Mad Dogs with 840 or Dog Pads who want to go Alpha, PM me and I'll bring upgrade parts and do it on site.  No shipping, same day service, and only the charge for the pads.

Owners of Dog Pads era phones who upgraded to Alpha Pads (or new owners of Alpha Pad phones) bring them by for a free check up and tune if needed.

I may have forgotten to mention that I'll be at the meet too! Ended up deciding to not go to the other meet, and besides, there was no way I could let myself miss a NY meet almost exactly 7 years after the 1st Head-Fi National Meet in NY on 4/22/06! I thought it was way too coincidental.

(Geez the time flew by since my first-ever meet!)

I'm excited and look forward to seeing everyone!

Sadly, I won't be able to make it after all.  I gotta take care of my most important listening tools (my ears), one of which has unfortunately become infected

.  I hope everyone has a great time and is able to check out some cool gear, but most importantly, connect with one another.  Cheers, and I hope to make it next year.

You better be there. I brought a pair of Fostex TH600 just for you:) Airport security had a field day with all the cables and gear in my suitcase. They were like " Headphone Amps, what are they......???"

Is there anybody driving from NYC who has room in their car.  I would be wiling to share gas, of course. If so, please PM me. Otherwise it will be the LIRR for me.

lucky for you the Babylon train station is only a 5 minute walk. Might be rainy tomorrow though.

You can get the LIRR from Penn Station at 34th street.  Many subway lines go straight there or within a few blocks.
