I was not impressed over the se. Still think my lcd4 is superior. How would the susvara be vs the se?

How would the susvara be vs the se?

Quite a step up we'd say, more tonally balanced sound signature, more refined. Better insight into recordings, more hardware dependency.

I listened to my HE-1000 V2 with iFi Pro iCan last night with some tracks by
toggling Xbass and 3D all together, and was surprised by its pleasant result.
The stage sense is improved and feel lively in the music.
One cannot get that with a closed cans, I guess.

Is there any one compare HEK with Stax SR-007/009?

Could not find any complete comparison any where.

Guys, maybe of course the question is off topic. Does anyone have experience listening to the Ananda? How are they compared to HEX v1?

I have upgraded to the V2 and using Norme’s Draug Silver cables. Haven’t tried the stock cable, they’re unused since I’ve ordered the Draugs before. I like the sound of these cables very much, bassy and airy, with a nice sound stage. I’m using a Cavalli Liquid Carbon.

I would like to upgrade my amp to either the Manley Absolute Headphone Amp or the Linear Tube Audio Micro ZOTL Reference preamplifier, as they are both at the same price bracket. Has anyone actually listened to these amps?
Late response but did you end up going with either tube amp? I plugged my Aryas into a Manley Absolute at Canjam and I loved it. So buttery smooth and simply a joy to listen to.

for the first time in over a year I can say that my itch to buy new headphones from other brands totally is gone, as I am until now having my beloved he1000se to be my totl headphones, and it simply leaves me not desiring any other headphones and I had alot other companies Totl headphones, non can beat a he1000se for me. This is the longest time ever for a headphone to leave me not desiring buying any other flagship. In addition I have the he1000v1 which I adore as well and that I sold it and regretted it and bought it again. Simply to me both are keepers for a long long time. I only added a denon 9200 as I need a close back headphone when I do not want to disturb people around me and that one is great as well.

Which of the following adjectives would you use to describe the SQ superiority of the HE-1000SE over the HE-1000V1?

Dramatic
Significant
Noticeable
Marginal
Splitting hairs

if u are asking me cause I posted a comment over the other thread of hifiman, well i own both, I will choose non of those adjectives

The He1000se has bigger sound stage, more bass, and more transparent forward mids and more detail and it is simply amazing

the he 1000v1 has a warmer tonality, and less in everything else, but for some genres that difference works wonders

so non of the adjectives are applicable, its for me both complement each other perfectly

I'm not aware of the comment you posted in another thread. I'm just trying to quantify the difference between the two headphones. Maybe a little background will help; years ago, shortly after the HE-1000V1 came out, i heard it at a meet and fell in love with it. Fast forward a few years and naturally i am curious at 'how much' of an improvement the SE version is, hence the nature of my question.
That said your response is perfectly acceptable, appreciated and actually helps, so thank you!

Edit: i don't have the ability to compare them side by side, thus i rely on the few individuals like you who are fortunate to own both.
