Not sure where is the missunderstanding but I do *not* sell anything. Just talking :)

Their new website said 1 year. Manual said 3. HFM confirmed 3. There you go...

I have been spoiled by the HE1000...I have the Ether and the HD800 and used to own the LCD-3F ....i am listening to my cans through my yiggy/rag combo and somehow the HE1000 is a different experience...dont get me wrong i love the HD800 and think the Ether is a wonderful product but somehow everything sounds right with the HE1000..

I had no idea she was a headphone audiophile.  So Paris Hilton has a serious side.  Who knew?  Honestly, I never would have guessed that.  It will be interesting to hear her impressions of the HE-1000.

Spoiled for sure.  Once you hear this headphone with the right rig there is no turning back.  Of course this impression could easily change once I hear a headphone that offers the same or better sonic qualities for a lower price.

I'm still not sure I justify the cost of the HE1000's but man-o-man the sound from these cans is truly epic (headphone crack). I have a pair of Audioquest Nighthawks arriving tomorrow for a 60 day evaluation.

Everyone has a different "ideal" sound signature and hearing abilities. There is no right answer,
Always pushing the envelop of what is possible is nearly as much fun as the destination. Makes the destination all that much more rewarding once the right combo is found (at least until then next great headphone comes along)

I have Macintosh amp and SACD player along with B&W 802's and I never imagined i would come across a headphone that would rival the system but the HE1000 along with my Yiggy/Rag combo shockingly has me listening to as much music on my headphones as i do on my loudspeaker system...I never imagined it possible....truly stunning

I haven't heard the Abyss - but in my opinion, SR009 is technically the best headphone, and is at a level above HD800, LCD3 and HE1000. The difference at this level is usually a preference for tonality (especially bass in this case), but apart from those preferences, the SR009 stands clearly above the rest in terms of transparency, transient response and speed, when matched with a good amp and an appropriate high-end source. That is something that the tuning of tonality can't fix, no matter how hard the others try. You may not like how it is tuned, but it is quite possibly still technically the best headphone in the world.

I thought the Abyss was noticeably faster than the 009's

Well, my search for a powerful, refined and dynamic sounding amp for the HE1000 has ended. Behold my new arrival, Wells Audio Enigma...

This thing grabs the HE1000 by it's conkers and pummels it into submission until it comes out the other end actually sounding quite punchy and dynamic, all done with the grace and finesse of a WWF wrestler-statured ballerina

(Clearly I have a serious dose of new toy syndrome).

Would seem to be more for efficient speakers, though many do like speaker amps for their cans.

You should audition the McIntosh MHA100. It has the same sound signature than my MC601 monos. Listening to the MHA100/HE1000 is like listening to my MC601/B&W801 combo.
