Considering you're mass-building these... Have you also thought of a way to attach these without the use of glue, blu-tack, tape or whatever? The old ones could be attached in such a way.

The original Liberators were longer. You could slide them over the cups and secure them to the headband iirc. It's hard to describe it. Try to find a picture of them; it will become clear then.
