Maybe the Orpheus would be the one with the most «perfect» reproduction, but it's too long ago since I've heard it. However, my model 2 strongly reminds me of it.

From my limited listening, the ER4S. I prefer them to my HD650, SR325i, K701 and various other phones. The ER4S has the best accuracy and the neutrality that I desire.

Fortunately, I haven't tried the HE90, HE60, Stax, Qualia, L3k, W2k2, W5k, etc otherwise my money will disappear in a flash!

i would sell my 595's for 701's or 650's if my budget and my upgraditis requires it, but i'll never part with my 25-1's

For me it is the Stax Omega 2's with the HE90 a close second

Haven't heard HE90, R10 or O2... but from what I have heard AKG K340 and Grado PS-1 are tied for first place.

The best thing I ever heard was the HE90 so I would gladly pick those. With a matching amp of course.

I'm going all out with my T1 this summer. Upgrade all the resistors and caps. I think I might be able to squeeze one Black Gate "Heart of Muse" in there...

Hard to choose just one favorite as I have many but the one I most often listen to would be the Sony MDR-CD3000 backed up with a tube amp and some good tubes.

Of the phones I have heard/owned : AKG K1000.

Of the phones I have never heard: HE90 or STAX Omega 2 based soley upon the way people go on and on raving about them.
