Odd Topic: Are there any sanitation concerns from buying used heaphones?

In particular used headphones that use cloth for the earpads and not something more hygienic like leather. Now if I'm not mistaken, used in-ear headphones are a no unless you can properly sanitize them or change the tips as that can actually transmit an infection, but what about headphones with used earpads that you can't easily change?

Just avoid them, and look for a pair that i can change the pads.

Just wipe the pads down with some alcohol.  You can give the pads a light hand wash with mild soap too.  If you're really OCD about it you can use one of those steam cleaning gadgets, or the steam blast from an iron.
