Hello all !

My boss asked me today to help him find a pair of head phones ...

1. Money is no object
2. listens to a lot of house/rnb
3. style is as important as performance... (cringe)
4. wants them for outdoor use.
5. will be driving them from an iphone

I'm only really familiar with open cans and IEM's so would anyone be able to suggest a pair??

I've found these to get the ball rolling

thanks !

Good sound with good style and can be driven from an iPod for portable usage?
Yeah, you really can't get classier than Ultrasone's ED8...

If he's the boss and he made statements like 'money is no object', then I assume he should be able to afford the Edition 8, probably his wife's LV handbag would cost more than that.

Probably an IEM if appearances matter outdoors. The shure and grado are both great choices but his listening habits may require extra bass and those are closer to neutral. Having someone else buy you a transducer is silly. He'll need to be bothered. Perhaps you could do the research and find a nearby shop where he could do a quick comparison. There's always products like the JH Audio JH16 which he'd need to get custom fit but there's no way he would be disappointed with the resulting sound.
