I owned the Grado SR80 before getting the DT880 (250ohm) which I thought was superior in every way. With the Beyer the whole frequency was much more extended and smoother. Bass went much lower but was tight and dry in a good way. Although I wouldn't mind a bit more impact for certain music. Later I got the Ultrasone Pro 750 just to try something different. With the Ultrasone there was much better bass impact, even a bit much on some stuff. While I felt the Beyer had more of a focus on the upper mids and treble that made me want to listen to female vocals, the Ultrasone seems to focus much lower that's great for downtuned guitar riffs for example. However there is some sort of harshness or resonance in the higher range that is apparent only on certain music, K-pop for example that makes me cringe. Also there seems to be a very slight recession in the lower midrange, but that may be due to lack of proper amplification. Although a bit of equalization fixes it. Anyone notice these things?
