Looks so cool.

Definitely unique; and very industrial looking. You could run that thing over with a Humvee and it would just laugh.

Not sure how pocketable it is; unless you call a brick pocketable!

My favourite portable set-up so far include the XunSound XS01 line out to XDuoo XD05, and linked to a bass-heavy darth beyer.
Love rocking some visual-kei and jap metal on this.

Might have to carry it around

I have 4497 version for 4 months. Ask any questions if need info. Sorry, but I'm not up to writing a full review.

@Moonstar and anyone else interested in the D200+. He's got the version with the latest AKM chip though, AK4497, same with Asakist in the Zishan thread. Maybe the maker will release another batch with that chip. I've had correspondence with Newman about the DAP through another site, just ask away here and you'd probably be surprised :)

Thank you for the information I bought the D200+ yesterday for review purposes. But there is not much information about the main differences between the d200 and the new d200+.

@Moonstar Awesome! Please keep us updated of your impressions when you get it. Months ago, all the ads I'm seeing in taobao for D200 is carrying the AK4495 chip, with black and gold colors having different opamps. There's 1 ad for D200+, only in chinese red color and AK4497 chip (amongst other differences in parts), limited only. But apparently, maker also released in gold, which NNewman had. I guess let's just wait and see what you get

Of course I will:wink: I hope that the D200+ (Gold because no stock for black available) has the same DAC as the Red colored special edition :) Let's see ...

Hello. D200+ is a balanced version of the old d200. It has AK4495 inside and probably 10,5 V internal cercuit voltage. D200+ with AK4497 from the last batch, was available only in Gold colour with the V2.0 revision board. But the price was at least 100 usd higher... And please note that "line out" is only SE in ALL versions of D200.

I see, that was a very useful information, thank you. What about hissing and output power? And I saw a red light on the bottom is that a optical out?
