Looks interesting, but I cannot see any sense in using wood except for the visuals. Its likely an ESM nightmare and any mobile phone in the vicinity will be audible.
The cheapest Chinese DAP that has a Wolfson DAC is Aidu AX8 (Wolfson 8728) for around $80 over Aliexpress.
I have one. It sounds good and can drive wide range of earphones. The only issue is the the root level of the menu is in Chinese and cannot be changed.
Other similar Wolfson-equipped DAP are
Newsmy G4 -- $ 83-100 (this may even be a better choice because the 'new" UI without the Chinese limitation)
Fiio x3 - $160

i don't know about the internals of the last one but judging by it's looks, it is awesome!
Speaking about Nintaus, i think it uses the ATJ2167 (same with Mrobo).
Honestly, i can't wait for a full review of the C5
I'm between this and Colorfly C3 but i can't decide because there is not even one review for the C5
New Bluetooth DAP for $31.50. What tha ******!?

Got my C5 today. So far I'd say the sound is a little thin and bass lacks authority but EQ responds well. The interface is quite good except that it doesn't display album art Kinda strange since it can view photos but this could be changed with a firmware update maybe. It's really SOLID, like holding a bar of iron in your hand.
