That depends, what "measurements" do you want? :D

Edit: Oh, and she thinks Grados look awesome but sound like $***. ;)

Magick Man, your posts gave me quite a chuckle. That said I agree with damn near everything you have said. I think Grados look quite nice, too. I know I'm more or less alone in that camp. Though, unlike your wife, I enjoy their sound.

estreeter: I understand the value of time in product design and implementation. BUT, I would much rather invest that time myself. That said, I really cannot call myself a DIYer, I have a lowly half-dozen builds under my belt...

In response to what gets me hot under my collar. I really don't care about $10 headphones rebranded by someone for 10x the price, nor do I care about audiophile components in pretty boxes. I think telecaster said it earlier (and in perhaps a less pleasant way), but things are worth what people will pay for them. Would I want a bunch of audiophile components in a pretty box? Probably not, but these days I seem to only really want things I've built myself. That said, I understand that maybe some people do, and I don't see it as a problem. Their choices are their own and have no bearing on my enjoyment of anything else. And, who am I to question or criticize that?

The one, single objection I might have is when a manufacturer intentionally misleads consumers regarding a product.

I have a feeling this opens the door for debate regarding that same box with audiophile components. Because it is undoubtedly one thing to let consumers know that they are there, but objectively explaining their purpose may be quite a different can of worms.

And this is how, ladies and gentlemen, our world will end.

This is the tip of the iceberg. We are used to putting value on things as we see fit, without giving a crap about any quantifiable characteristics.

The headphones or the condoms?

Eww.. vile things.

What was the original topic again? Oh yeah, high end tubes rule! :p

I never trust how any woman looks while in costume, it's made for two past awkward next day after Halloweens.

I uploaded a picture of her in regular clothes and sans makeup to my main album.

MagickMan, I'd be careful of any Goth-alike obsessions - I had the biggest crush on Helena Bonham-Carter when her director hubby kept dressing her in Goth outfits, but things appear to have gone awry of late ...

Ok, I think we need to bring the thread back on track. I fear its going to be shifted *again* to 'all other things non audio' forum.

I'm kind of hoping for that. I'm tired of seeing an interesting discussion being restricted because it oversteps the thread classification. Sometimes I learn the most interesting things from off-topic posts, which makes the case for reasonable flexibility in subject matter (in my opinion). Although it still doesn't make sense to me that a thread comparing amps and discussing related subjects would be moved into the Sound Science forum in the first place, DBT or no DBT.

Since the ODA will be very similar, if not mostly identical to the O2 (based on the design, from what I've read), would it be possible to discuss it in this thread or do we have to make a new thread for that? Should we just start it in Sound Science to avoid the inevitable forum hopping? I feel like everything is unnecessarily over-complicated :S.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to the ODA+ODAC: I hope more comparisons with high end gear are made when that combo is released.
