(Noob question) Need help with the Lepai LP-2020A+ and Alesis Monitor1 MK2

I've been powering my Alesis Monitor Ones (Passive) with the Lepai LP-2020A+ mini amplifier. I was wondering if this was okay for my speakers/amp.

Although i am running that same Lepai TA2020 with 8 ohm Polks, peeps have run 4 ohm speakers like yours fine

Thanks for the quick reply. The reason I asked this question was because I've read that using an underpower amp for speakers rated higher can damage the tweeters.

If you use pretty much any amp (underpowered or not) and run it until it's clipping, it can easily damage the tweeters. You have to use your ears. The trick is to never run your amp up so loud that the speakers are distorting from the amp (or speakers) being pushed too hard. Never.
