So without knowing more details about the cable itself (i.e. how many wire strands is it comprised of? twisted or solid? what is the AWG on each wire?), this is really a shot in the dark for everyone. I guess that's the purpose though.

22.7 lbs (10.3 kgs)
34.2 lbs (15.5 kgs)
54.3 lbs (24.6 kgs)

Best of luck to all!

didn't it also have wire insulation? What if its braided Kevlar or some nearly impossible to stretch and snap materials? And I say two runner ups get a Noble shirt.

+1  - good point. Who knows what kind of insulation is surrounding the wire as well.

Some of the guesses are so funny though. A 3/64 (0.04) inch diameter of stainless steel cable has a breaking strength of 270 lbs.

Do you honestly believe an IEM audio cable (with or without insulation) is going to have more breaking strength? A typical stereo audio cable is about 22 AWG (which means 0.02 inch diameter). IEM's cables are generally even smaller in diameter (maybe comprised of 26 AWG wire). Even if you factor in insulation & using the thicker 22 AWG wire, how would the audio cable's breaking strength surpass a stainless steel cable that is 0.02 bigger in diameter?

Just some things to think about,
