How's the Zen Dac Sig v1 with piety?I present you.......... iFi Schiit burger!
Not the same units but should be same dimension to demonstrate.
@Jimmyblues1959 could you elaborate a bit as to why v1 vs v2?

I don't know I sold the Piety long ago. How's the Zen Dac Sig v1 with piety?
But otherwise pairing it with Lyr 3 now, everything's good except I find soundstage slightly smaller than what I'm used to.
That or maybe I'm used to more airy dacs....... might need to spend more time with it.......

IME the Zen Dac Signature V1 is an excellent match with the Piety. And the Piety does well with both planarHow's the Zen Dac Sig v1 with piety?
and dynamic headphones.

Hey man congrats on the Piety. Was wondering if you can expand further on the characteristics of the two gain modes when used as a preamp for speakers (I'm assuming you have with your comment above about the Saga+). I've scoured this whole thread but surprisingly no one has touched on this specifically. Lastly could you tell me if the differences between hi/lo gain translate over more or less the same when using the Piety for headphones/IEMs or do they take on different characteristics dependent on use case? Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.new to the piety scene - sitting with the no1 in front of me with no4 (the big one) on order and arriving whenever it arrives...
man this thing has the gain of sagA* and i ain't kidding... to run this thing on high gain i have to pull the volume down with my dac or else i have no control over the volume pot!
i own 20 pair of cans and all of them are enjoyable well below 11am on this amp. that small size is hiding all manner of grunt.
love the sound - especially how the two gain modes have their own character. like having two amps in one (just like a fast switching schiit lyr+)
so far my fav combo is any dac to piety to sony cd900st - almost too sharp still but the P brings the mids and bass around like a heated blanket.

Bought one of these used and am really happy with it. I don't use HP all that much but it's nice when the kids or partner are playing something in the same room. Connected to my BF2/64 and Sennheiser/Drop 58x. I actually really liked it gaming especially as it is a real step up from my onboard port. I rarely use the HP but it's great to finally have something competent and enjoyable to use.

I'm enjoying my new iFi Sig Finale at the office. The XBass and 3D stuffs are neat. But more importantly, I'm glad to have my Piety back at home again. I was listening to some Genesis on my Piety with my AKG K712 last night and, ooh, what a delightful time.

LCDX and piety is such a great combo. Volume adjustment gets a bit tricky since they’re so damn efficient though. I have a topping D30 Pro that I can use to help volume adjustment but I particularly just love to pair the piety with my modi Multibit 1.

Uhhhhh long story short, I got the Zen Dac Signature V1 but I think I might like my old DAC pairing / synergy a little bit better.
So if any of you guys are interested a Zen Dac Signature V1 to pair with your Piety, feel free to shoot me a message.
Otherwise I'll put it up in Classified in a few days.

Nice pic but clean is the last word I can think of when thinking of my two v1 and v2 modi multibit lolI like the sound of multibit v1 (gen1) than the multibit card.
Been listening and comparing but i think multibit1 (gen1) is more blacker background. It is warm but clean sounding.
