I use my Piety when I don't want to warm up the tubes on my Vahalla. I've owned the Magni 3, Asgard 2 and 3 and enjoyed them all. The Piety is a great little amp. I primarily use my HD600s with it. Anyway, I never really changed the gain and always left it on high gain. I've recently started using low gain and really does give the amp a different presentation.

How do you like it? Do you like high gain or low gain more? Lately I've been using Piety with my Elex and it's an absolute blast. Great combo.

I switch to low gain at times and it seems to expand the imaging and soundstage a bit. For my ZMFs I mostly use the higher gain and my other lower impedance HPs sound good at the lower setting.

I kind of like the low gain with the HD600 headphones. What really surprises me is how the DT880 600 ohm headphones sound with the Piety, high gain of course. Very punchy, the bass reaches down low. I bought the DT880 600 ohm for the Vahalla 2 and they sound spectacular with it but the little Piety can really drive them.

Waiting until October to put the Asgard 2 back into the system. Have yet to find a better sounding headphone amp
at the price to drive inexpensive planars, given the A2's class A architecture. Waiting to see some reviews on the
Mjolnir 3 pure class A headphone amp once it's released.

It's a great amp and hot plate! :)

The A2 really can double as a space heater during the cooler winter months. lol
It just sounds so good with my inexpensive planars that I keep the A2 around during the cooler months of the
year just for them. I am curious to see how the new M3 sounds based on its class A architecture. One of
the things I enjoy most about Schiit is that Mike, Jason and their design teams are never content to sit on their laurels.
They are always heading into uncharted waters with either new designs or a new application of older electronics' designs,
that more often than not have a positive and significant impact on this wonderful hobby.
