Nightjar Singularity

Someone say that the Singularity's excessive subbass makes them bloated, resulting in low-mids that don't sound clear. Do the owners here feel the same way? I can't imagine what the Duality prototype with even more bass would sound like?

Does anyone use or have tried the singularity with the AK SP2000t? Just wanted to see if it will have enough power to push them properly as I’ve heard it requires quite a bit.

Singularity doesnt require a lot of power if I am being honest, however it absolutely does benefit from a good and powerful source. I am fairly certain the SP2000t can push it within its power requirements.

I like Azla Sedna Crystal, Symbio W1 and JVC Spiral Dot++, do these tips work well with Singularity?

Yup! All of those work well, Spiral Dot++ tends to work better for those with smaller ears while Crystal and W1 work well for those with larger ears. Between those and the provided tips I'm sure you'll be able to find something that fits well and sounds great.

Just off of memory from when I owned them… I wouldn’t say they are unclear, they just have a bit of an extra heft to them which definitely suits some people’s preferences more than others.

Custom sleeves/tips from advanced sound.

These were made from an impression I sent them back in 2020 for the Sony ier z1r. Still seem to fit well enough so I didn't bother with a new impression. Unfortunately the z1r was so big and heavy that even the custom sleeves couldn't make them comfortable for me. It's much better with the singularity.

Not 100% sold on the sound changes yet. I was trying out my custom art custom tips and really liked what those did to the sound, but they didn't help with the fit or comfort. These obviously sit much farther outside my ear and the sound has to essentially go through a longer tube. Kind of tilts things quite warmer and smooths treble almost a bit too much.

The singularity also seem to have a vent hole near the stem. Not sure if these block that and whether that actually affects the sound further.

But most importantly, I seem to be able to wear them much longer without discomfort, so that's a win.

Received my regular edition set of Nightjar Singularity yesterday after placing my order a week ago -- they arrived faster than expected in NYC from Singapore.

I haven't done any ear tip swapping yet, but my first impressions with the Chord Mojo 2 and Poly as my source are very positive. I will eventually compare them to my Sony IER-M9s, which have been my go-to IEMs for the last 2 years or so, but my initial take is that the Singularity is a significant upgrade.
