im using monk + so should be at 64ohm.. also using Fiio M3 (not EM3) so impendance should be quite low than the new EM3 (47ohm)

I'm using the device in DAC mode, and it has an extremely huge delay.
Since I'm using it to play rhythm games, which requires precise timing, it's really unacceptable.
Anyone knows of a fix?
Can it possibly be fixed by a firmware update?

Edit: Amp mode also has the delay.

You've got almost a complete lineup of opamps for rolling. I'm curious can opamp rolling of your preferred ic in the list match the sound quality of an advance dap?

That's an interesting question. In all honesty, the Sizhan z1 is a fun device with incredible value for money but it can not unleash the full qualities of the more expensive opamps like opa627, Burson V5i, muses02 and the likes.

Let me explain: when you upgrade an audiophile-grade $500+ dac or headphone amp with say a $45 Muses or Burson this makes sence as you really use the full potential of these advanced opamps.

In contrast, putting an $45 opamp upgrade in a $25 dap might give you an audible improvement but you don't nearly use the full potential of this expensive opamp and that makes it hard to justify. But it's fun nevertheless

As I do not have an advanced dap for reference I cannot answer your question with confidence. My personal experience is that the LT1028 really lifts the performance of the Zishan z1 significantly but maybe other forum members, that do have experience with more advanced daps, can share their experiences ?

i just got my Zishan Z1 yesterday, but is the volume really overpower? i need only increase the volume like just a lil 2-3 degree and the sound already quite loud.. i tried maxing the volume and my earbuds are playing like speaker haha.. (buds not in my ear btw, i placed it away)

if you are concerned with accidental bump to the volume pot during mobile use, then do a batch convert using foobar2000 and apply some negative pregain

I'm planning to use Z1 with earbuds ranging from 32 to 320 ohms. Maybe impedance adapter would be best. BTW does zishan detect replay gain? I guess not?

Would anyone say that the Z1 is a huge upgrade over the Ipod classic 5th gen with a Wolfson Dac chip? My preference is neutral or most people say is a U-Shape sound signature. Thanks..,

Zishan has a more detailed sound, is not demanding on the quality of recording and is able to replace the OU. Z1 worth buying just like that
