I'm looking to upgrade from my Fiio M11 Pro. Looking at an SP1000CU and a Ibasso dx300. Can anyone chime in that has heard both?

Have had the dx300 and the sp1k beats it hands down in naturalness, layering, clarity, black background and precision.
The dx300 with stock amp has powerful sound, with very wide soundstage but sounds rawer, sharper, more aggressive and bit paperish in timbre in comparison.
The sp1k still beats most todays daps under 2k bucks.

Maybe someone can help me with this problem:

For firmware updates, I can connect my SP1000 to my WLAN, but according to the SP1000, the WLAN has no internet connection (WLAN Status: "Connected, no internet"). Internet (LAN) works fine. My internet provider insists that the WLAN router works fine and any device can connect with DHCP enabled. DHCP is enabled. I have two SP1000s, have the same problem with both. What am I missing here? Did anybody experience a similar problem?

I have tried 3 different Wifi including my mobile hotspot, all are "Connected, no internet". However, I can access internet without problem such as V-Link, Apple Musice.

My headache is I'm using Spotify, the app detects no internet so it's offline all the time.

A very strange is I could successfully connect wifi without "no internet" in the past 2 nights (time period around 00:30 to 01:30). I can login and normal to use Spotify at this period, unfortunately, other than this time period, the wifi is back to no internet and Spotify can only run offline mode.

Do anyone have idea about my case?

One possibility is your WiFi. SP1000 only uses 2.4gh not 5ghz.

When i want to stream, i connect my sp1000 with Samsung s20 as Hot spot and it works like a charm. Im getting a very stable and strong signal. Also the speed is surprisingly good, definitely better than what i was getting on the Shanling M8. I can download the whole album in high res from Apple Music in about a minute.

Go Setting, System information then tap 5 times (may be 7) on "Model number SP1000".
Watch if your wifi status change when Spotify ending a track?

I wake up this morning, switch on my SP1000M, it's back to "connected, no internet" status. Spotify is unable to run as it jumped to intial login page but not allow me to login due to offline status. But same that I can actually access internet such as Apple Music, V-Link youtube.
The secret page in Korean is taked, I'm running V-Link Youtube as background, I don't know how to read it. But the "0 Bytes" likely looks not normal as I should run V-Link Youtube. Anyway, I may need to wait for midnight to get "connected" than check with Spotify.

I also tried to modify the time in my SP1000M and Wifi source, seems clock synchronization should be fine.

Have used both Tidal and Qobuz with my SP1000. Until recently both would happily download files to their local caches. But with the firmware upgrade this last month, this has become very erratic – despite the apps continuing to stream music just fine. It turns out that the SP1000 was reporting “no internet connection” – despite linking with the access points and streaming just fine. What.

I have a rather sophisticated network infrastructure which helped sleuth the issue. It seems likely that the SP1000 tests the internet connection by “pinging” a server in Taiwan. The route from here in Oz to there travels through Hong Kong. China is a massive source of malicious internet activity – my network gets probed on a daily basis. My network infrastructure blocks those probes – and, as the A&K traffic goes through Hong Kong, also the “ping” response that I suspect tells the SP1000 in is online. The firmware I have to guess then tells the Tidal/Qobuz app that it’s not online – at least for some aspect of downloading – and the downloads stall.

The work around is to set the network content firewall to allow the bypass the China geographic blocks while leaving all the malicious attack prevention in place. Then all back to normal. But it would be nice if the Firmware had not changed what was working fine. Obviously, this is all surmise; but it’s clear that with some China traffic blocked, the SP1000 doesn’t think it has an internet connection – and when the block is removed it is happy….

To be clear, this is very much an edge case – at least for now. I really can’t imagine that any Aussie customers are going to have a problem – but I can imagine at a global level there will be some who might and are not sure why things are now not working as before.

I put 2 AK (SP1000M & SR25) connecting to same WIFI (2.4ghz), SR25 is normally "Connected", while SP1000M is "Connected, no internet".
