Maybe AK degraded the sound of sp1000 to get more people to upgrade to sp2000.The truth is near. Listen to your friend's SP1000 v1.19 and SP1000 v1.17.

I have the firmware in the form of an "update.hex" file. Yes, it can't be downloaded from the official A&K website. I rolled back the firmware by simply copying the specified file into the player's main memory and performing the update procedure. Summary - I believe only in my ears.
Is it possible to share that file with the old firmware somehow? I would like to roll back and check the sound.

The only player where I noticed a change in sound was the recent one for the Cayin n6ii. AK stuff no changes for me yet.

Is it possible to get Apple music working on the spk? I don't really want to burn all the m4p to a cd and then convert them to mp3

Question for those of you pairing your SP1000 with 64Audio IEMs... what is your typical volume range on the SP1000?

It depends on the album. I am listening it right now Motorhead Iron Fist - volume 8
IEMs - 64 Audio A12.
I have never listened above 30.

Maybe the A12s are much more sensitive than my U18ts... I am listening between 85 and 90...

A12t balanced - between 40 and 80 depending on the environment and recording. Usually around 65 when I’m out and about. Oh, and I have an SP1000M but they’re not too different.

Hi,
Is anyone aware of a way to play Youtube video audio through the SP1000? There are some very nice, and very well recorded, live performances on Youtube and it's disappointing that I can't listen to these through my SOTA DAP.
I can stream this audio from my Cocktail Audio X100 Squeezebox server, so it is technically possible, but maybe there are no APK's to support this currently for the SP1000 and other DACs. Perhaps there is simply no demand?
Cheers
