I am having an issue where I could use the AP SP1000 as a USB DAC on my phone, but not on my new MacBookPro M1. Anyone else having this issue?

Today I tryed to update my Tidal apk in openservice from 2.67.0 to the newest available.
Bad luck! from 2.68.0 and next minimum Android 7 is required.
Time for firmware update?
Isn't it a bit early to cancel support on 3k+ device?

from past experience this type of device cannot just simply update from its current version since this is not that easy to do it...

Maybe every 6 months on the support/download site of A&K a stripped .apk version of Tidal that runs with Android 6 in the OpenService portal?

I hope have an android modder of XDA here so we have a hope of Android 7 on our daps.

Hoping somebody can help me install the sideload Tidal onto my new SP1000M (1.70CM fw). I've followed the guides and put the XAPK installer (4.5.1) into the OpenService folder but it is not found when I try to install it (disconnected from PC and reset several times). I've tried the same with the Tidal app (2.74) and this isn't seen either.

Does anybody have any ideas why my device can't see any APK's please?

Well, sorted it myself after actually reading some threads Got the 2.67 APK and that installed fine. No idea why I can't get the XAPK installer to be seen but Tidal is up and running now and I can download for offline so I'm happy enough.

XAPK is a different format than APK, you can extract like unzip to get APK from XAPK as I remember.
So, choose APK file when download and it is OK.

Android 7.0 is needed for latest Tidal versions. SP1000M is based on Android 6.0.1

I’ve been using mine for the past couple of days without issue - both local and streaming through Qobuz.

I think the issues is with certain files which may have become corrupt on my SD card as the SP1000 functions with other files on the same card. No issues with streaming either.

Is anyone aware of a way to rotate the screen on the SP1000? I’ve got a short interconnect to my C9…it would make things easier if the screen could rotate 180 degrees.

I wonder if I could possibly get some help please.I have not used my SP1000SS for a very long time so battery was completely depleted.I eventually managed to recharge fully to 100% unfortunately it now seems that the battery is draining very fast and consequently it would appear that I need battery replaced.I would appreciate if anyone could tell me what the current procedure is.I’m in UK and seem to remember something about units being sent to Germany.I would be obliged if someone could advise if this is the case timescale and cost.I take it that you would not have to go through a dealer?
