I would opt for the SP1000. The soundstage is a little larger and the sound more refined compared to the m. AND: You have access to an amp which allows you to drive nearly any desired headphone.

I do not know how loud you listen to your music. But I drive my Utopia with the SP 1000 around 70-100. So there is plenty headroom. There is definitely no need for an amp for a Clear.

But investing 600 USD for an amp results in a major drawback in terms of soundquality. Spend your money as you like, but the clear on the SP 1000m without an amp clearly sounds better than with with a USD 600 one.
