Piezo sheet, not EMI material.
At the begining I am not a believer but now.
For other media it is clear effect. For hand held as daps, I need more time to know

I pulled the trigger last week and picked up an SP1000M. For the most part, I'm *really* starting to like it, a lot! But I've run into a few issues.
  • On some albums, it skips tracks. These are tracks that play on other daps/dacs without any issue. So far this happens on 2 two albums, both downloaded from HDtracks as ALAC files. I've tried erasing one album and replacing it (on the mSD card). Still happens.
  • Sometimes when playing back a gapless album (DSOTM), there is a click on the track change. Not sure if it's related to @Audiophonicalistic's issue.
  • After I've paused a track in the middle of the track, when I hit play, it goes back to the beginning of the track, not where it left off.
Hoping for some suggestions...
@rwelles I know we've been speaking on PM, but wanted to share this with everyone.

We recommend the microSD card be formatted as FAT32 for best results. The issues you are experiencing may be caused by the songs not indexing properly when the microSD card was inserted. I would suggest doing a manual scan to fix the issue.

To do a manual scan, Settings -> System Reset -> Initialize media scan.

If you have playlists set up, make sure Clear Playlists is unchecked. A manual scan should take 5 - 10 minutes max, but can take up to 15 minutes depending on how many files you have in internal memory and on the card.

There will also be a firmware update this week for the SP1000M which will add MQA support, as well as have a number of bug fixes and OS optimizations, so it could also be an issue that will get fixed this week. I reached out to our development team in Korea to get their feedback and will hopefully have an answer when the get into the office Monday morning.

Yeah, we all know that. That is why I said, probably SP2000 will sport it ? Or may be not. Both AK4499EQ and or Sabres ES9038Pro are all very demanding on power consumption, which is not ideal for portability
The SE100 uses the 9038 Pro. It was the first portable DAP to use that chip.

Had this problem as well, a reformatting and reindexing solved the issue.

Thanks everyone, esp. @JasonNYC, for your valuable feedback. Currently copying back files to a reformatted (FAT32) card. I tried a re-index earlier, but didn't work. Does the dap give any indication while the indexing is in progress or when it finishes?

@JasonNYC hi Jason. Sorry for jumping in with another topic: my screen is sometimes going lower and instantly brighter again. A certain low flickering when the brightness is not set to max. Is that a known issue?
I have not heard of that issue. Let me check with some of the other members of our customer support team here in the US and in Korea when everyone is back in the office. Are you experiencing the issue on the SP1000 or SP1000M?

Great. Thanks. Sp1000. Especially comes up in connection with qobuz streaming app in low brightness settings.

while it is indexing, it will say "scanning media" in the notification bar when you wipe down from the top. Once the message disappears, give it another minute or two search for and index playlists. You will not see message while that is happening.
