New Sony Walkman NW-A300 Series (Android 12)

I’d just get 2020 andro - new asking price is too much imo for probably same sound (campfire can be very greedy).

It’s a classic for a reason, and deserves its totl status - I will never get rid of mine (I made the mistake once before)
Its still a 5BA which puts it up against my M9 and some prefer one, others the other.

Ie200 with the eq I posted and it’s foam tips might be comparatively spectacular. I’m shocked how much detail and soundstage accuracy it’s giving me - it’s almost like a music production tool. I will test it more.. eq is must to cut that treble tho

That's a good price, I think the 3000 are about 370 dollars or som

Nope only went up to the 425's ? It's been a long time. After my ie800s breaking I'm not sure I want to spend over 400 on iems. I'm sure they sound great.
I had SE530 & SE535 first and couldn't understand why some raved over Shure until I tried the SE846! Now they did put a big grin on my face 8 years ago.

I bought some used Noble K10U which I was lead to believe were better, but only marginally to my ears and at £1500rrp vs £900rrp, err no. I sold the K10U as just too large for me with there 10BA drivers.

Only ones I"m considering at moment are Andro 2020 or Emerald Sea and the Z1R but size & fit issues and lack of any in UK put be off blind buying the Sony. Seems mixed reviews on Sen IE range.

I prefer the original, fit wasn't great though which the new one should address but they've really bumped up the price. Very little info on them.

@abitdeef look out for some IMR Splash of Red or Gold on ebay.

Review by Bloom is about it for now. At £1K I may have took the plunge, but £1449 in UK.

Well the problem is most anything with a standard shape shell will hurt my ears after about 15 to 20 minutes. I didn't have that problem before, but I'd say the last 10 years of so it developed and they got more sensitive.

The easiest thing ever in my ears are tiny Klipsch X10i (still have) but even though £200rrp at the time just don't cut it sound wise now compared to all my others. Nothing comes close to tiny size/weight.

I still use my Klipsch X20i regularly - easy fit, light and convenient to remove and put back in. I really like the oval tips for my ears.

Yep those are out, there's only a couple x10 used for like 255 270 bucks on ebay. Hell no. I know they were nowhere near that price new.

@ductue89 - Thanks for your posts.

I wonder if the shop owner tried to contact Sony directly, or whether he simply reached out to customer support. Apparently, Sony’s support system is run by a third party—Sony itself isn’t directly involved. Regardless, it’s not surprising that the shop owner is getting the silent treatment.
Have a chat with him today, he said he contacted the guy in charge of marketing for Sony audio product in my country.
