Great - that means at least a 4x unfolding (from 48KHz 1st level)
Actually, think I got mixed up with 192/24 FLAC files.

Just been through all my MQA albums and max show was 96/24.

Probably on Jap version has that. Mine didn’t . let your hair down, don’t use rubber - it’s more exciting

Having one stuck in the 3.5mm and usb constantly might stretch out the holes a bit faster making them looser - not sure it’s for the best

The Sony unfolds to infinity ♾ No really, mqa sounds great. You realize those ultra high bit rates are overkill. Just like 130 db snr.

If it makes anyone feel better I think it does 8x on tidal masters and you have to have the unit on high res rez streaming. So 192 kps. Not that you can tell the difference anyways. It's more to do with how good the tracks are mastered/recorded.

Walkman App shows as 192 but who knows if it plays at 192 or less

I really don't know how you guys can use the capped ones.
for me its not bad. im 40 and have hearing loss prob off listening to cassette walkmans too loud and all the time from being a kid, thru ipods etc.

i use it mainly with sony Bluetooth headphones on commute so the cap doesn't apply.

and in the house i plug in koss porta pros or grado sr60 both of which are way loud enough for me and not at full volume

They come as standard for both 3.5mm & 4.4mm with Japanese WM1AM2. One in mine is from the WM1AM2 I had (came with a spare).

Its really soft rubber. If it can survive 10's thousands of gold plated metal insertion not much to worry about 😃😆

We still talking about DAP's I assume 🤨

UAPP does the first unfold to 88.2 or 96 kHz (if you purchased the add-in)... that's it. UAPP does not use the MQA renderer, verified by logcat. The Walkman app does use the MQA renderer, if you have any local MQA files, of course...
