NEW Sony 4.4mm Pentaconn Balanced Connector

So what do all the folks who have amps with the large 4 pin output jack do?
Are we forced to by new cables?

Many amp vendors are still making and selling amps with the 4 pin XLR and not the 4.4mm balanced XLR?

This might be a cable makers dream in selling new cables with the 4.4mm balanced connectors?

Is there a good adapter to go from a 4.4mm balanced cable to the "old" defunct 4 pin XLR Male?

Alex
The way to go is an 1 foot adapter from the amp to main headphone cable. I have Moon Audio adapters for standard 4 Pin XLR as well as dual TRS for ADI-2 Pro balanced connection. This way I just grab the connector I need and connected to my main cables. All of them use Switchcraft mini 4 pin xlr

Since changing all my headphone cables to 4.4 Penta, I am using these 2 adapters for my Burson Soloist

ddhifi (more known brand, i have a couple of their adapters like 2.5 male to 4.4 female etc as well as this xlr male to 4.4 female)

Custom made adapter with some cable in between for variety (i believe you can find many similar options for this from many manufacturers)
