If you like sony why didn't you buy the 1abt?

Because a guy here didn't like wireless sony's youtube:wsvmNKWceL0 (can't post links)
He didn't like wireless momentums either (because of bad ANC) youtube:a2bNccrSGnM
The only pair he didn't test were urbanites xl, so I've bought those :)

P.S. I also liked the single on/off/pairing slider on those, it's genius, no need for long press and all that.
P.P.S Though it'ill be better to have just a single on/off button and a separate pinhole for pairing, that would be sweet.

Those are the 10rbt.
I've mentioned the 1abt.
It's a completely different level (I did not try them, but know many people who did, and who like them more than any other).

You may want to ask around in my thread (see signature) next time.
There's lot of people there who've tried many bt headphones.
And you should NEVER listening to just one person. Tastes are tastes.
At the end you may really need buying a few and comparing yourself.

Just got them, gosh they're terrible. Unbelievably heavy, clunky and uncomfortable. Easily the worst headphones I've ever had.

- heavy as hell and not soft, will eventually dent your skull
- tiny ear cups (not over-ears that's for sure, I don't know how to call this crap)
- size adjustment suck, those sliders are way too loose
- touch controls on the side, oh you will touch it good, all the time, worst idea ever

God damn it, guess you can't trust anyone in this price range. Sound doesn't even matter with this level of comfort. Now I got to buy either 1rbt (fugures I HATE touch controls) or momentums. $300 well spent my ass.

P.S. Figures the audio connector on headphones is 2.5 mm, not 3.5 mm. Oh god, WHY? Also I don't get why they use the mic on the wire and disable the internal one, seems illogical, Momentums just use the internal mic.

Are you sure? I'm not aware of any bt headphone which uses the internal mic when wired. It generally is either mic on the cable or no mic at all.
I suppose it should be possible to make an internal mic which can be bypassed and used without power (wired), but I don't remember any headphone which can do that.

The momentum feel much different. It would be a good choice.
Anyway I strongly disagree with your way of expressing your PERSONAL subjective experience like an absolute universal objective truth.
Lot of people have no problem with these headphones. Weight and comfort is all VERY relative.
I didn't feel them heavy at all. And they were indeed less cosy soft than other headphones but still OK (besides I know people who WANT harder pads, because they transmit bass better).

The touch controls worked very well for me.

I thought 1RBT is 1ABT without touch controls. And 1RBT seem to sound well according to this guy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DTRKihZfFEs

Each single headphone sounds good according to some guy.
How it will sound to you?
I suggest you informing yourself a bit in the threads of rbt and abt here.
I didn't try any, but they are not the same.

How close is the sound to the original wired Urbanite XL?

How close is the sound to the original wired Urbanite XL?

I personally prefer the Wireless signature, only auditioned the XL's at a big box retailer so can't say it was a truly valid comparison.  Didn't like the OG wired XL, really enjoy the wireless.

I don't know how you like it. My head hated them from the very beginning. They are way too heavy and tight to be comfortable.

Different heads, different ears. I find them extremely comfortable. I find the leather headband on the Momentum M2s uncomfortable after an hour or so.

I can see how larger heads/ears may not like them, pads run a little smaller than average.

Oh they also bite, like, very painfully, be careful when unfolding, I was bitten twice. Not very good design overall, hope momentums don't bite.
I've ordered wireless momentums (over-ear) - there was a discount on ivory (not sure I like ivory but they were a bit cheaper than black ones).

  Oh they also bite

You have to talk gently to them or they get angry and bite.
I suppose they don't bark though.
Dog that barks, doesn't bite.

Got wireless momentums m2 (ivory), much better - more comfortable (yet the padding on the headband isn't very soft), way less clunky and much more compact than urbanites, the sound is better, no annoying touch controls yet still a lot of things that stick out and you wouldn't want to touch. Also crappy mics (all 3 of them), recording is all choppy and 8 KHz at best (even Bluedio Turbine records better), so you can't really use it as a wireless headset at home. Well, got to move to momentums-related topic, I guess.

Upd: figures out they all are pretty bad in Skype (momentums fallback to 8 kHz both for mic and playback). Are there any bluetooth headphones that provide >8 kHz recording? I tried a few, looks like Bluedio really have better recording quality. The only relatively comfortable pair left is Sony 1ABT (1RBT) for $400. Does anybody know for sure how do they behave in Skype?
